I scream and lose my balance and almost fall on my face, but strong arms grab my waist. They’ve easily caught me and placed me back on my feet. I look up to find Malachi’s sexy face looking at me. “Thank you!” I say gratefully while I find myself becoming lost in his eyes as if I’m in a trance.
“I’ve got you. I’d never let you fall,” he said with a smile.
“Why are you so sweet to me?” I ask, utterly confused as to why he’d go out of his way to show kindness to a mere human.
“Because you are going to be my Luna,” He answered with a smirk.
“Luna? What is that?” I question.
“For having a best friend who is a wolf you really know nothing of our kind huh?” He asks and I shake my head in return. “You will find out soon enough,” He says, reaching down to rub his thumb along my lower lip.
After a moment of simply staring at him, he brushes his hand softly against my face. “Why were you crying, Luna?” He questions with a look of concern.
“It’s nothing,” I say as I look away in shame.
“If you’re crying, it’s something,” he says.
“I’m okay, it’s been a crazy day, and I just got emotional,” I reason and attempt to move around him, but I stop when he puts his arms around me and holds me tight. I’ve never felt so safe like I do in his arms and almost whine when he pulls away to look at me.
“Luna, I will stop at nothing to find this man and punish him for what he is putting you through,” he swears and by the conviction in his eyes, I feel something snap inside me.
I can’t hold my urges back anymore; I reach my hand around the back of his neck and pull his lips to mine. When they meet, my body feels as if electricity is surging through it. I don’t hesitate to open my mouth so his tongue can tangle with mine. His touch feels so incredible, my body could burst into little bubbles and float away. Malachi pulls me closer to his body, and I can feel how turned on he is, but I don’t move away like I did at the ball. I welcome it.
Malachi slides his hands down my body until they wrap around my ass grasping it in his hands. When he lifts me, I wrap my legs around his waist with our lips still locked. He starts grinding his bulge against my sensitive area, which is already very wet for him. I moan aloud which encourages him to rub himself harder against me. He hides his face in my neck and his warm breath causes me to throw my head back in pleasure as it makes me shiver.
“Chloe! Are you okay?” Amelia yells. Coming around the corner to find us. We both turn to look her way with Malachi still holding me against the wall. My lips turn an even darker shade of crimson when we look at each other, and Malachi puts me down gently.
I clear my throat as I straighten my clothes and stare down at my feet. “Um, I was looking for the bathroom.” I stutter.
“Mmhmm,” Amelia says with a slight smile forming on her face like she wants to laugh. “You seem to have gotten lost,” she says, looking at me as if to say, you go slut. I roll my eyes and turn away and walk off to find the bathroom, leaving Malachi with Amelia behind me.
When I make it to the restroom, I walk inside and lock the door behind me. I lean against the cool door, enjoying the way it calms my heated skin as I slide down to the floor. What just happened? I have no self-control around Malachi. It’s like a sexual monster that takes over my body, and I can’t stop it. I think to myself, resting my face in my palms to calm myself.
After a moment, I stand to walk over to the sink and turn on the cold water. I splash my face a couple of times and meet the eyes of my reflection. “Snap out of it, Chloe,” I mutter to myself. I sit on the side of the tub while I dry my face with an unnaturally fluffy towel. It’s going to be so awkward now because Amelia caught us, yet he didn’t seem fazed. I guess it didn’t bother him. I think as my mind replays the situation. I finally get the courage to stand and walk back out to the living area.
On my way down the hall, I see Amelia is walking towards me. “Chloe, I need your help looking at dresses online. Can you come to the office with me?” she asks.
“Ok, sure, of course I’ll help,” I say sweetly. At least she didn’t mention what just happened, which is surprising for her.
“I know I’m not a virgin, but I still want a white dress. Do you think that’s crazy?” She asks, worried.
“No, of course not Amelia, it’s your day. Wear what you want,” I insist.
As we talk, Amelia leads me to the office where her computer is. As soon as we enter the room, I see the strong back of the man, I let dry hump me in the hall, who is casually talking to Paul. Will I be able to concentrate with him right there? I wonder, unable to trust myself.
Amelia sits down on the couch and opens her laptop. I’m still checking out Malachi’s fine backside until he turned toward me as if he sensed my presence. When he turns to look in my direction, he sends me a quick smirk before turning his attention back to what Paul is telling him. So, I focus on helping Amelia, who’s rattling off wedding topics.
“I know you don’t want to wear an ugly bridesmaid dress, so what would you like to wear?” she says, turning her laptop screen towards me. “Point to the one you like,” she says.
“Amelia, I will wear whatever you ask me to at your wedding. It’s not my day,” I say.
“What about this champagne dress?” she points it out.
“It’s beautiful, but the dress is so short my ass would be hanging out,” I laugh.
“Well, it’s perfect then. After what I just saw in the hallway this dress would have made access a lot easier,” she points out before cracking up and falling over on the couch laughing.
I spit out my sip of water, shocked that Amelia just blurted that out, loud enough for all to hear. “Shh...” I say, slapping her on the shoulder while putting my finger to my mouth when Paul turns around, giving us a confused look.
