“ What do you mean by that she is not cursed?” Her words caused Logan to not only sit up straight but also jump off the chair that he was sitting in. “ If she is not cursed then why isn’t she unconscious like that for years, Levy Taylor even if you want to wash off your name, you shouldn’t make a gamble with someone’s life, I didn’t expect that you will be someone this ruthless, I really underestimated you.”

“ Maybe if you even learned how to listen to others then it would have been much better,” sneered Levy as she stared at him, did he really have the right to look at her as if she was the scummiest of all? If anything he was much worse than her. Betraying his mate, choosing another female and then finally sending her to prison even without any proper evidence, even though she was to kill the entire world, Logan didn’t have the right to look down on her! “ I said that she isn’t cursed but I never said that there was nothing wrong with her. If only you stayed put and kept your mouth shut, you would have learned what happened to her without offending me.”

Logan ignored her last sentence, he didn’t really care whether she got offended or upset with his words. Instead, all his attention was on Lily when he heard that something was wrong with her, he immediately asked, “ What is wrong with her?”

Levy sneered, of course. Like always he only cared about Mavis and her sister, she was nowhere on his list of important people. She suppressed the anger that was bubbling in her heart and said, “She isn’t unconscious because of a curse or anything of the sort, the reason she is like this is that her soul is split.”

“What?”Logan asked with a frown as he looked at Levy.

“ She was supposed to be a sacrifice,” answered Levy, turning her head to look at the unconscious Lily. “ You do understand what a sacrifice is right?”

Of course, he understood what a sacrifice was but —- “ What does that have to do with Lily?”

“ It has everything to do with her,” answered Levy as she looked up at Logan. Her eyes danced with mockery and disdain, “ When a human tries to cast a spell without having an ounce of magic in his or her blood then they need to have a sacrifice at ready. There are five stages of spells, the first one being the simplest with a sacrifice of an inanimate object precious to them and the most difficult one is the level five spell, it only works when there is a human sacrifice ready for them to offer.”
