'whoever I'm mated to better be ready to be treated like absolute gold. I have so much love that I have been waiting to give, it's ridiculous.'

(Tye-tus)

A growl escapes my lips as I plunge my head forward, throwing the sickly looking wolf back, It's back hitting a tree causing a yelp to escape its mouth. I snarl at the stupid creature that dare to cross me. I rush towards the wounded beast, clamping It's neck in my jaws before pulling, a satisfying snap is heard as It's body goes limp.

I drop the most likely disease ridden mutt, before shifting back to my human form, the cold breeze brushes against my naked figure as my bones crack back in to shape before I pick up my grey sweats and white sneakers that I left here last time, I sigh as I bring one of the cigarettes I had previously placed in the pocket to my lips, before turning back to the dumb rogue his once fur clad body is now fair skin,

He looks old, maybe fifty? Matted grey hair falls down his back and a prominent beer belly is laid against the forest floor, blood coats his fair skin and I almost feel bad, keyword, almost. The monster was discovered after he tried to take a young girl from my pack, most likely to satisfy his needs. He deserves worse than what he got. A smell catches my attention, almost covered by the smoke from the cigarette in my hand, but as quickly as I smelt it, it was gone.

I blow the puff of smoke into the air as I turn back towards my pack, feeling the need to walk, I decide against shifting, despite my wolfs constant pleas. My mind instantly finds the girl of my dreams, not that I know what she looks like. I can just imagine a shadowed figure as she cares for my pack, I don't want to make assumptions on her appearance, if I even find her, she's most likely dead.

My wolf growls at the thought and I have to admit, I feel the immense pain of accepting those words but It's true. Most Wolves find their mate on their eighteenth birthday, yet I have searched and come up blank, I cried in my mamma's arms the night of my birthday, I couldn't believe the moon goddess would forget about me, but I never stopped trying until recently, the longer I stay unmated the more I slip, the more control my wolf gains, if my wolf gains full control, all havoc will break loose.

I just need someone to protect, someone who will be there for me just so I can hold her, I want someone who will giggle as I bury my face into the crook of her neck and lightly nip her skin playfully, someone who will lead alongside me, putting me in my place when I'm in the wrong, I just need my mate.

"How did it go?" Lance asks as I return to the pack border, his long blonde hair sits scruffily on his scalp, the freckles dotting his face a pure reminder of his innocence, his gray eyes dart around the forest for any sight of the prisoner and his hands stay clenched, as he gets ready to follow any order I give him, my beta is practically my brother, he's also definitely a bottom but we don't talk about that.

"It's perfectly fine, Mr.Lewis, go take a seat, I will be with you shortly," I say quietly, today, as usual, I'm at work, when I'm not at work, I'm at school and when I'm not at either I'm caring for Charity. I don't really get much free time anymore, ever since mama left, it's been work work work.

I sigh as I place a sign next to the small pile of glass, praying no one pierces their foot, I really dislike blood, I can handle it yes, but it makes me feel horrible, picking up a few more pieces, I take it into the back place, placing the shards into a small trash can, catching a glimpse at myself in the mirror, I almost gasp in shock.

My once neatly tied up blonde curls now has wispy hairs flying every where, my simple makeup has done nothing to disguise everything I try to hide, and my simple skater skirt and pink cropped shirt it covered in something, of which I have no idea.

I quickly attempt to fix myself up before scurrying back out to sweep the rest of the glass, I guess it's just part of working in a diner. My shift finishes soon after the incident with Mr. Lewis, a regular. As I step outside, I swear I see two men between some of the trees, one either passed out or dare I say dead as the other stands above him, in just grey sweats. I don't waste another second as I speed walk down the street on my way home. I'm going crazy.
