“Well, this is the pack school. I brought you here first because this road holds most of the important buildings in this pack. I don’t think we’ll be able to walk everywhere tonight but I wanted you to see enough.” Stephan said, pointing to the building opposite us.
“Wow. It’s large.” I responded, shocked at the building before me. I didn’t think I would ever see anything as big as this in the pack.
“Well yes, Arthur has invested a lot in it because he really believes in education, something about not having access to one when he was younger.” Stephen delivered and I frowned.
Well, I remembered we had gone to school together until he had left the pack with Emily and even after that Simon had remained pretty smart, whenever he came around he would help me with my homework and we would talk about school, well, he didn’t talk much about it but he had told me he was in school which wasn’t hard to believe because he remained intelligent through the years.
“But the reason it’s so big is because it’s divided into two parts. There’s also a training school in there and the field just behind this building is where most of the pack’s training takes place, it’s really nice and fun. You should come to check it out during the day.” Stephan said, and I laughed, nodding my head and starting to walk when he did.
“This is the mall. I kind of have a feeling you would have been here already because Lila is addicted to shopping and this is her favorite place.”
I laughed loudly at his words and when I affirmed that I had been there earlier in the day, Stephen began laughing with me.

“Here you go princess, home and safe.” He said, as he gently placed me in front of my door.
My legs had started hurting at some point and Stephan had offered to carry me, I had initially refused but eventually, I agreed when we began the walk home and it seemed to get farther and farther the more we walked.
“Thank you so much, Stephan, I had so much fun,” I said genuinely.
“Me too.” He said softly and I smiled at how soft his eyes were when they met mine.
“I–I was wondering if you would go out to dinner with me during the weekend.” He asked.
The entire day had been overwhelming for me in a way. It had been me trying new things all at once. Stephan’s question made my heart skip a beat but so was the look in Simon’s eyes when I opened the door the first time to find him standing there. I knew he was with Lila and Goddess knew that there was still so much anger and hatred in my heart against him, but no matter how hard I tried, it was hard to ignore the fact that my heart had still skipped a beat.
Was I ready to continue on this path with Stephan?
No, not at all. I was still confused, angry, disoriented, and processing, but I wasn’t going to turn him down because what if he was what I needed to process it all?
“Of course Stephan.”
