Chapter 0350
Ella POV
Elizabeth and I sat across from each other at a small table in our favorite restaurant at the shopping center. An untouched appetizer sat between us, the ice in our drinks melting slowly.
I didn’t want to push her. Whatever she had to tell me, she was clearly struggling with. But I also needed answers.
Finally, Elizabeth let out a deep sigh.
“Ella… you and Alexander are in love, right?” Her voice was careful, measured. “If he had some kind of deep secret … he would have told you, wouldn’t he?”
My heart stopped.
Had McIntyre told her about the Ice King? Had Alexander’s identity been exposed?
If Elizabeth knew, she’d have no choice but to tell her father. And if that happened… everything would come crashing down.
I forced myself to breathe evenly and nodded. “Yes,” I said, my voice thin. “Alexander’s told me all about his secrets.”
Elizabeth studied me for a moment, then said, “So you know about the child?”
My stomach twisted. “Child?” I repeated, my brow furrowing. “What are you talking about?”
She hesitated. “His ex, Sabrina… she has a five–year–old.”
Relief flooded through me. I let out a breath and even managed a small smile. “Oh, that. Yes, I know she has a child. What does that have to do with Alexander?”
Elizabeth didn’t smile back. Her expression only grew more serious.
“So… you don’t know,” she said slowly, concern deepening in her eyes.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said carefully.
“You know when Alexander broke up with Sabrina, right?”
“Five or six years ago,” I answered automatically.
Silence stretched between us.
And then it hit me.
It was possible Sabrina got pregnant before she left Alexander.
No. I shook my head slightly, rejecting the thought before it could take root. There was no way. Alexander had told me everything. He had been honest about his past, his secrets—why would he hide something like this?
Still, doubt wormed its way into my mind.
I swallowed hard. “What exactly did Dr. McIntyre tell you?” I asked softly.
“The Roguelands are full of news and rumors from both the North and the South,” Elizabeth said. “According to McIntyre, one of the latest rumors is about a powerful Alpha from the North. He recently discovered that his wife had lied about her pregnancy–that she had actually been carrying the child of a Southern Alpha before they met and she concealed it from him.”

I frowned. “And you think that means this child is Alexander’s?” I asked skeptically.
Elizabeth hesitated. “When this Alpha found out the truth, he cast his wife and child out. And apparently, someone in the South with Rogue ties helped her flee across the border.”
“Oh,” I said weakly.
That narrowed it down. There weren’t many people this could apply to. It almost had to be Sabrina.
But that didn’t necessarily prove the child was Alexander’s.
Sabrina could have had other lovers. The way she left him in the middle of the night to marry someone else… it wouldn’t be shocking if she had rushed into something. I wanted to dismiss the idea outright. To reject it.
Then Elizabeth pulled her phone from her pocket and slid it across the table.
I looked down.
And my world tilted.
On the screen was a picture of a little girl.
She had Alexander’s bright eyes.
My heart went cold.
She looked so much like him that there was no denying it. They were related–somehow.
“Sabrina’s child?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, my gaze still locked on the screen.
“Her name is Alexis,” Elizabeth said quietly.
I shook my head, trying to resist the truth staring back at me.
The only question left in my mind was–does Alexander know?
I pushed Elizabeth’s phone back to her. “Is that all she told you?” I asked. “And what were you doing talking to Dr. McIntyre in the first place?”
Elizabeth took the phone back, glancing at the picture again. “I went to ask her about Diana,” she replied, her voice tight. “Just if there was anything she knew about her that could explain why she was influencing my father the way she has.”
“And what did the doctor say?”
“Nothing useful,” she muttered. “She kept going on about how alphas have had their time and now they’re going to fall. She said that the group she was working with were revolutionaries that were going to destroy the kingdoms completely.”
My heart was beating so loudly it almost drowned out her words. I nodded, smiling weakly.
“Yeah, that’s ridiculous,” I agreed, though the words felt hollow in my mouth.
I needed to talk to Alexander–needed to know if there was any such organization. He had to know something about this. If there was any truth to these rumors at all, he would be able to find out about it.
And I had to find out if Alexander knew anything about this child… if she was his, things would get a lot more complicated.
At least, I thought they would. We still had no idea what Sabrina was doing in the capital, or if her presence was

tied to the web of schemes Diana was involved in.
“I still haven’t heard why you were talking to Dr. McIntyre I said, my voice edged with suspicion. “I can’t imagine your father was okay with that.”
“He doesn’t know,” Elizabeth replied sharply.
“How did you manage that?” I asked, hesitantly.
“Don’t worry about it,” she said dismissively, brushing off ny concern.
I leaned in, my voice low. “Are you sure you trust what she had to say? Dr. McIntyre was after me, too. She was working for David. She would have every reason to lie to us
“I know,” Elizabeth said, her gaze firm. “But I do believe her. She was betrayed by the people she worked with- the ones who convinced her to target you. And she wants revenge against them.”
“You mean David,” I said quietly.
“Not just him,” Elizabeth replied. “She said there were a number of people involved. Most of them are unknown.”
I felt a chill. “That’s why she told me David wasn’t the one pulling the strings,” I whispered. “He’s just a pawn. Just like she was.”
If she could only tell us who these other people were… we might be able to stop them. They should be locked up just like David was.
“She did give me a name,” Elizabeth said, her voice faltering. “But… it’s impossible to act on it.”
“Why?” I asked, confused.
Elizabeth’s gaze darkened as she met my eyes. “The one pulling the strings, according to her, is someone too powerful for us to move against.”
“That can’t be true,” I said, disbelief rising in my chest. “With all of the resources at the king’s disposal-”
“It is,” Elizabeth interrupted, her tone grim. “Because the person behind all of this is Ironfang.‘

I recoiled, the blood draining from my face. I stood abruptly, pushing the table away. “I have to go,” I said, my voice shaking with urgency.
