After she watched him walk away, Sophia touched her stomach which was starting to ache from hunger before walking to the elevator after accepting her fate.
There was an open pool in the rooftop of Dream Club. Sophia thought it would be cold in weather like this, but when she opened the door, she saw that the pool was filled with handsome men and beautiful women.
The most beautiful women in the public relations department were wearing bikinis. When she saw this, Sophia thought of the word ‘debauchery’. Who would even care about the temperature now?
She did not dare to look. She lowered her head to look for a spot to clean when she heard someone calling her. “Cleaning lady, come here and clear the empty bottles. Get us new ones too.”
She was the only one wearing the janitor’s uniform. Sophia lifted her head to look at the direction of the voice and saw numerous empty wine bottles on the long table next to the pool. The reds and whites were mixed together, making such an unusual sight.
She licked the corner of her lips and picked up an empty box before walking over. She started cleaning up quickly. When she was halfway done, someone threw a volleyball into the pool and water splashed all over the place.
Sophia was shocked. She backed away reflexively and crashed into someone. Then, she heard a cute ‘ouch’ before the person started complaining, “How filthy! Look where you’re going.”
Sophia turned around and saw a woman in a white dress. Her face turned red and she apologized humbly. “I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose…”
“You’re just a janitor so why are you here? Can you even pay me back if you dirty my dress? Such bad luck…”
This commotion attracted the attention of the people on the sofa. He looked over to Sophia and saw her lowered side profile. In the debauched and corrupt environment, she looked refreshingly out of place. He asked, “What’s going on?”
When the woman heard his voice, she made an aggrieved face and turned around sweetly. “Mr. Phillips, what do you think? My dress was dirtied by this janitor…”
“Oh?” Sawyer Phillips glanced at her chest with ulterior motives and smiled. “It’s just a dress. Just ask her to pay you back for it. Cleaning lady, come here.”
Sophia knew she was in trouble. However, she could not afford to offend anyone here. She closed her eyes and walked over.
When she was close, Sawyer’s eyes glinted. He put down the glass in his hand and looked at her from head to toe with interest. “Miss Janitor, you have to pay if you dirty someone else’s dress.”
