There were now 50,000 comments at the bottom. There were some who voiced out on behalf of the White family, while some maintained a logical, neutral stance. However, other netizens attacked them in hordes, coming at them so quickly that others deleted their comments.

The first few commenting on the trending topics had terrible things to say.

‘Who do the White family think they are? Elders don’t act like elders and their children aren’t acting like children. Have they fed any good upbringing they have to the dogs? How did they bring up such children? Serves them right that one of them committed suicide by slitting her wrist while the other suffered a heart attack and got admitted into the hospital!’

Sophia did not know that netizen, after all. They had no relationship to speak of. There was no need for that person to get insulted by so many people because of her.

Sophia clicked into a few more trending topics to read. The comments on them were more or less the same.

“I’ll take care of this. All you need to do is quietly take care of your pregnancy.” Charles was worried she would overthink things and reached out to get her phone.

Sophia pulled her hand back and evaded his hand. “I’m fine. Haven’t you guessed it yet? I allowed Leah to have Lisa on purpose. I can take care of this on my own.”

Charles did not force her. He pinched her chin and gave her a light kiss on the lips. “If you can’t handle it, there’s still me.”

“What I truly hope most is for us to go through this side by side. I trust you enough to have my back, so let me have your back as well. Don’t treat me as a flower living in a greenhouse, protecting me whenever something happens,” Sophia patted his hand away and said seriously.

Charles lowered his eyes and replied with a soft ‘okay’. He got up and slowly put on the white shirt that had been thrown to the side.

Sophia frowned slightly.

He obviously did not take her seriously by answering so casually.
