Victoria wasn't sure if she was still in trance from what had happened earlier or that she was just pure unlucky that day. The moment she entered the buffet restaurant, she had broken a plate and almost bumped into someone. She was terrified as she turned, bowed and apologized profusely.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to..."

"Vicky, it's okay, it's fine!"

Trevor held her in his arms and patted her on the shoulder to comfort her. Then, his eyes fell on the waiter who was standing by the side.

"Clean it up, please, and put it on my bill!"

The man who she had nearly bumped into merely smiled by the side and waved his hand, indicating it wasn't a big deal. Very soon, he left.

Seeing that Victoria was like a frightened rabbit being on edge, Trevor shielded her in his arms, "Everything is already in the past. It's okay, don't worry, relax, I'm here!"

He slowly led her to the table they had sat at previously and were familiar with. Trevor guided her to the seat that was by the wall so she'd feel safer. He had her take a seat before caressing her small face.

"Sit here and be good, I'll go grab you something to eat!"

Getting up, Trevor first poured two cups of hot drinks for them. Before he could even put down the second cup on the table, Victoria had already began gulping down nearly half of her own cup.

"Be careful! It's hot..."

Seeing that, he walked up and sat down beside her, then reached out his hand and wrapped his arms around her waist with some force. Only at a time like that did he feel like she was a woman who needed his protection, a woman who couldn't leave his side!

Lowering his head, he kissed her forehead again gently, "You silly girl!"

Trevor hugged her for a long time to comfort her, as he could clearly feel her heart beating uncontrollably fast, "Do you feel better now? Is your heart still pounding in your chest?"

After he calmed her down, Victoria peeked her head out from under his arms, and nodded with a serious expression. Then she took a long, deep breath before saying,

"If my heart wasn't beating, wouldn't that be worse?"

Seeing that she could make a joke then, Trevor was finally relieved. He pinched her nose and said, "Well, if we wait any longer, I think it would be your stomach that's in trouble instead! Let's see what special delights are awaiting us today!"

Trevor glanced at the long line at the buffet and said, "I'll get you something to eat first, then we can go look at the special of the day. You don't have to be so on guard around here, just treat it like your own home!"

"Okay!"

Soon, Trevor had brought back all kinds of dishes. As Victoria chomped down the delicious food, her mood slowly started recovering.

"Honey, today's cod fish is delicious, especially when it's mixed with this caviar. Although it's not the most premium sturgeon caviar, it really still lives up to the name of 'best seafood'..."

After enjoying another scoop of it, Victoria scanned her surroundings before whispering with her mouth half covered, "However, this buffet is really expensive! The charges are so..."

And to make her guiltier, she wasn't even that hungry. Plus, it was already at night. She really felt that she did not do the buffet justice at all! Not to mention she would need to work out for an entire week to burn the calories from the entire meal.
