The hospital, a place full of stories and sorrows, where all sorts of cries could be heard from time to time. Even the relatively quiet VIP area would have some commotion every now and then.

It was only nine-thirty that day when Penny saw that the corridor was crowded with people, and the scene was chaotic.

"What's going on? Isn't this the VIP area? Why does it look like a market?"

"Security?!"

Penny roared angrily as the crowd blocked her path, nearly pushing her several times.

Just then, a bodyguard trying to disperse the crowd came up to her, wiping the sweat off his forehead. "Madam, you are here! Sorry, we'll deal with it right away!"

Meanwhile, a security guard was entangled with one of the women that woman brought. "Madam, this is the VIP area. We don't have anyone with the name Karl here. Please leave and not make any more noise!"

Just then, a fat and strong middle-aged woman shrieked.

"What do you mean you don't?! We watched him charge in! And the shameless b*tch is a nurse here. We saw them go in with our own eyes!"

"Let us in!"

"What, do you think you're right? You dare push me? Ouch, I'm beaten; he's hitting me! Where's the justice!"

It was already chaotic, but a woman suddenly sat on the ground, slapping the floor and pulling her clothes while screaming like a fishwife. The security guards who were shooing them away earlier were now entangled by the women. Meanwhile, two doctors were trying to break the fight while a nurse made a call.

While everyone was stumped, Penny strode past the crowd, making her way quickly to her husband's ward.

As soon as she pushed the door open, she saw a man in a white coat but wearing a pair of trainers. That somewhat familiar figure stood by the hospital bed, holding a syringe right at the IV drip.

Why wasn't he wearing shoe covers?

They went stumped as soon as their eyes met, and Penny's eyes instinctively widened, "Who are you? What are you doing?"

Realizing something was wrong, Penny turned to run. "Help, someone-"

"Shush, don't shout!"

"What did you do to him? How did you get in?"
