Anxious, Mason shouted as he clutched the doctor. "What am I to do if he dies? He hasn't signed the will of authorization yet!"

That was what Frederick and Gary heard the moment they entered.

Stumped, Penny didn't react for a long time as though she had been hollowed out.

Rather, Hallie, who came with them, was the first to react, pulling her brother, reprimanding.

"What the hell are you talking about, Mason?! Dad's already gone; are you so upset that you've gone mad?!"

Fortunately, he wasn't stupid. He came back to his senses with Hallie's hint and harrumphed, "It's that man's doing. I saw him; he pretended to be a doctor and killed Dad! I feel like I know him from somewhere! Yes, he had a syringe in his hand. I think..."

Penny paced back and forth, so angry that she nearly broke her fingernails from clenching her fists too hard.

Her phone suddenly rang. Seeing it was Steve, she hit the roof and pressed the answer button, but a ghastly voice came immediately.

"You've deceived me so hard. I'll make you wish you never did it!"

"Steve, you-"

The call ended before Penny could even speak, replaced by the busy tone. She tried calling back only to find that Steve had switched his phone off. Tapping the screen, Penny roared in anger.

"Sh*t! D*mn it!"

Meanwhile, Mason also furiously kicked the table in a smaller room. "That f*cking jacka*s! Son of a b*tch!"

He had just endured excruciating pain, having his iris color changed, but who would've thought that b*stared popped out of nowhere! Mason was unprecedentedly furious.

Similarly, Hallie was so angry that she squished the apple into a pulp.

"Where did that son of a b*tch come from! Our plans have been ruined! Mom had wanted your iris color changed to put a stop to the scandal and persuade Uncle Gary to find a way to let you take over the company smoothly, or at least help Dad wake up! Now what? Our hopes are now all gone!"

"Who'd still be in the mood to manage the company in this situation? Or to even bother about us?"
