"You don't seem to like to talk very much, Miss Tevye..."

Toying with the cake on her plate, she took a small piece of it into her mouth. "Why should I? I work with my voice and not my body!"

Taking a gander at him, she continued. "I'm lucky to be born with it. I don't have to take extra care of my vocal chord!"

Be it her figure or her voice; they seemed to have fixed their form. Plus, she'd rather chew on something as tasteless as wax than talk to him!

Unsure if he was mistaken, but Willy had a nagging feeling that her words seemed to carry a hint of hostility toward him. No longer saying anything, they two ended the not- so- pleasant dinner.

Getting up, Lauren shifted her feet only to feel a stinging numbness. She then stepped on something and slipped, staggering forward.

Embracing her, Willy instinctively looked over at her feet. Shell-shocked, Lauren patted her chest, "Yeah..."

Looking down, she saw two splashes of water on the ground.

She wanted to shove him away only to realize he had shackled her in his arms, and his gaze at her right then was ablaze as though he wanted to skin her alive.

"Thanks!"

Deliberately raising her voice, Lauren shoved him again, frowning the next second. "What are you trying, Master Bowels?"

The feeling was all too familiar. It felt as though he had returned to the past every time he got close to her. Recalling she hadn't refuted when he had called her Laurie, he tightened his grip.

"You hate me, don't you? You are Lauren, am I right?"

He asked with certainty.

Lauren felt as though her heart was lacerated every time he said her name. The happiest times in her life were when she was Lauren Heady, but he reshaped her back to Yesmine. Arguably, all of this was no thanks to him!

Hatred was not enough to describe Lauren's mood then!

Smiling, Lauren no longer tried to push him away but moved her hand toward the collar of his suit.

"You actually don't have to do this to get familiar with me, Master Bowels. It's my pleasure to dine with you, but if you want to see me as someone else..."

She put some distance between them, nudging his chest. "Then, I'm sorry!"
