After putting the suitcase in a corner, Victoria trotted over to him and felt the temperature on his forehead.

'Are you feeling better, Hubby? I went back home to pack some clothes for you and even made you something to eat!"

She couldn't help baffling as she looked at him with her head tilted.

How come he wouldn't let her touch him again? She had only taken a trip home; he couldn't be mad at her again, could he? How could this man be harder to comfort than a rug rat when he was sick?

She was already used to his oddity when he barely even reacted to her, thinking he was just like that whenever he was sick. So she went to heat up the soup in the pantry before opening the suitcase and taking the tablet out. No longer hoping that a certain someone would come to his senses, Victoria presumably brought some stuff over to him.

"Hubby, your tablet! For you to work and watch some movies when you're bored!"

"Books; the dull and profound type. You can have a read before going to sleep..."

"A notebook and your usual pen! I've put some draft paper inside!"

Victoria placed the items by his bedside as she presented them, trotting back and forth, rendering Trevor rolling his eyes at her, dizzy.

Couldn't she just drag the suitcase over? Was she genuinely brainless, or did she want him to laugh at her?

Victoria listed as she walked, carrying a bunch of stuff in her arms, pausing midway, looking all loopy before turning back around, fumbling as she muttered to herself. Finally, Trevor could no longer contain his smile, deeply amused. Then, Victoria trotted over to him with a long gray candy-like bolster pillow in her arms the next second.

"Look what I brought you, Hubby!"

He hadn't a clue where she bought the pillow.

It was a simple cylindrical shape with its ends bunched up like a wrapped candy. There was a cartoon character in the middle; was it a cat or a fox? He hadn't a clue. Its eyes were closed, and there was a band-aid on his head, looking adorkable, very much like her when she was befuddled. It was quite a comfortable support, so he would always be in an excellent mood when he sat on the couch and looked at her with this bolster pillow supporting his back.

And right then, her response looked very much like that chubby dumb cat-fox with one of its paws akimbo and the other gesturing a 'peace' sign. It clearly looked idiotic, but its smug expression gave it an extremely contrasting adorableness, indescribably amusing!

Victoria tried laboriously to pull the halfcompressed pillow out of the vacuum bag, even unknowingly arched her back as she exerted her strength. Her silly but adorableness had her looking a lot like a child using all of their strength. While she struggled, Trevor's lips unconsciously curved up once again.

Was she usually such a dumdum? Then again, how did she shove it in when it took her so much effort to pull it out?

Finally realizing what she should've done all along, she erected the pillow and stepped on the end of the bag. With one forceful tug, it was finally free. But the momentum had her faltering, leading her to step on her slipper accidentally and stumble face forward toward the bed.

"Ah..."

"Watch out, ow..."

Victoria reflexively put the pillow in front of her to protect her face, and Trevor also intuitively reached out to grab her. But he accidentally tugged on the IV drip needle, and some blood immediately oozed out, leading him to gnash his teeth in pain.
