The next day, news about the Jade Cup was published in the headlines of various major news portals. A few popular topics also made it to the hot topics list, exposing those in the circle. Besides the competition results and the gathering of those better known in Casterwich City, the most exciting news was about Mr. Johnson, the fresh face in the crowd. Gossips about him made it to every dining table in the city.

The morning had just barely started at the office, but Wyatt's phone had not stopped ringing from all the calls he was getting.

He had just escaped a scolding from his mother, but his phone rang again - this time, it was a call from his older sister. When Wyatt saw that even his older sister who doted on him called, he instantly knew how his ploy was playing out. He could not help but feel worried.

"Well, hello there! It's been a while. How have you been?"

"Enough with the small talk. What do you think you are doing? I even got a call from our mother in the dead of the night because of you! This isn't how you are! Be honest with me - are you serious about that woman?"

Wyatt did not deny nor admit what had been posed. He called out knowingly, ""Well-"

The next second, a voice laced with concern was heard.

"Tell me, how can I not worry about you? There are literally thousands of women out there; why can't you just like someone who cares about their figure more than having kids? Why must you insist on liking someone with a nasty reputation? Wyatt, it's not that we don’t understand how romance works, but this is about our family we're talking about here. You can't blame the elders for being selfish. When people get to a certain age, they' d naturally want to return to their roots and have a grandchild or two - it's just human nature! It’s something I can relate to very strongly now—"

After a long-winded speech, a heavy sigh was heard!

In an instant, Wyatt's heart sank. He could picture her gloomy face at the other end. This troubled him, causing him to unconsciously clench his fists.

For his own happiness, and for Raynee - this persistence of his must have broken the hearts of his family.

He had never experienced such a deep pain before. Wyatt's heart beat violently within his chest. He tightened his lips, readying himself to say something, but no sound escaped.

After a long silence, an earnest voice sounded again.

"Wyatt, love is not a trifling matter! Dating is fine, but marriage and some things are not to be taken lightly, especially if you are yet to be certain, - you musn’t get overly involved or impulsive. Do you understand? If you go too far, who's to say what will happen!”

They were all adults. Wyatt immediately understood where they were coming from. He was not allowed to have an illegitimate child! He was also getting reminded at the same time, to keep to a low-profile!

It did not take a genius to understand what they meant. Wyatt initially wanted to say something, but in the end, he decided to just give a short hum as a response. They then chatted for a short while before he ended the call with the excuse of having to attend a meeting.

On the other end, Francesca held her phone close as she shrugged helplessly at the two women across from her.

Zoila, who was the epitome of a bashful and diffident housewife, asked softly, "That didn't work either? He has even introduced her to his buddies; it looks like they're not playing around!”

Olive nodded, his expression serious as he said, "Something's up! That's why Mother was so worried that she even called me back!"

Francesca sighed again.

"It would be great if he could let go of Raynee. Why must he choose such a woman? Perhaps I'm getting old too, but her reputation just doesn't sit well with me! Just think about it - regardless of our reservations about her, she's still someone who has married twice, and once to a man who's old enough to be her father! Isn't this alarming enough! Wyatt is just too proud and arrogant for his own good. How could he fall for someone like that!"

"Well, she is a vixen, after all."

Zoila rolled her eyes in disgust while Olive slammed her fist on the table.

"If things go on like this, something bad will eventually happen. When I had gone to look for Wyatt previously, this woman was causing a ruckus at his office - how unsightly that was! I must find a way to meet this woman. Francesca, you keep doing what you can about Wyatt. I refuse to believe that Waverly has the power to seduce someone like this! If things still don’t work out, I will get Raynee back here and I'm sure that would do it! That woman is clearly a 'Black Widow', so why let her join the family?”

The two nodded, also echoing the sentiment.

"I believe Raynee is a better pick than she is! She' s decent, at least, and won' t be embarrassing to be seen in public with. I mean, just look at this photo, she looks just like a wh*re!”

"Touche, touche, but it’s still best that we think of a way to get rid of this woman!"

As the three women continued their heated discussion, Waverly, who had just gotten to work, started sneezing non- stop. She kept rubbing her nose as she tapped away on the computer.

"Who's thinking of me so much?"

As soon as she muttered to herself, the phone on the table lit up. It was a message from Wyatt. "What are you doing?"

She replied, "Achoo..."

When Waverly arrived at the private room, it was already nine in the evening. She pushed the door open and entered, immediately greeted by a lively scene in the luxurious-looking room. The place was packed with people of the opposite sexes, and even had a gambling table placed at the center of the room. There, she caught sight of Wyatt and three men gambling away. Each man was accompanied by their lady counterpart; some were sitting next to them while others were

seated right on top of the men's legs. There was even a woman pole-dancing completely naked. Waverly was quite taken aback by this, having never seen such a scene before. At this moment, she saw that a woman caked in heavy makeup was sitting next to Wyatt with a wine glass in hand. She was unsure whether she was drinking it herself, or she had been holding it for him.

Waverly's footsteps came to a halt at the door; she had not expected to see something like this. Regret started creeping into her mind.

But she had already pushed the door open, so regretting was no longer an option. All eyes in the room had shifted and fell on her. Wyatt’s assistant then came forward.

"Miss Castle-"

With a dry laugh, she could only bite the bullet and walk over. She then realized she did not know where to go. As soon as she leaned forward, a soft whistle rang in her ears.

"Oh, did Wyatt bring her? She doesn't quite look like the vibes of this place!" A thin, young

man at the table said with a harmless smile on his face.

"It's no wonder even the best of girls couldn’t get close to him! All this just for the sake of entertaining Mr. Andrews? Things indeed work differently for different people!"

"If Raynee finds out about this, will she get jealous?"

"Haha, are you going to snitch?"

"Get lost."

While bantering, the man turned and checked Waverly out. On the other side of the room, a man who had not spoken a word, looked straight at her. Compared to other women who were hiding under layers and layers of makeup, Waverly was like a shining pearl in the night, with sensuality oozing out of her petite frame.

Her figure was slim as she enjoyed yoga and exercised regularly. Dressed in such tight fabric, every step she took accentuated her bodily lines. Moreover, she had gotten proper etiquette training from a young age, which made her all the more attractive. The moment Wyatt looked up, he was enchanted by her gorgeous physique, and an impulse to rush forward to tear off her clothes came into mind. He raised his hand unconsciously.

"Come here."
