Frederick was shocked. Although he already had a premonition of it, he didn't expect that she would really say it. He didn't push her away but his tone was very serious as he tried to reject her politely.

"Danica, I'm still married!"

"I don't mind it! Frederick..."

Raising her head, she pouted her rosy lips slightly and was eager to kiss him. Danica's eyes showed that she was begging him without any disguise.

"God knows how many women you have slept with outside. I said you are disgusting! Do not touch me!"

Alicia's roar suddenly appeared in his mind. Turning his face sideways, Frederick avoided Danica. Instead, he grabbed her hand and spoke with a cold attitude.

"Danica, don't be silly! You should know me well. I hate this kind of thing the most!"

"I'm so sorry. I'm just too scared of being alone... I want someone to accompany me. Frederick, don't be angry with me and don't hate me. Could you stay here for a little longer?"

The woman in front of him was thin and weak, appearing as if she had an illness. She looked fragile as if she could break easily. She was really different from the healthy girl in his memory who had a sweet smile.

Frederick's heart softened and his tone eased a little, "How would I? Don't overthink."

He raised his hand and stroked her hair, just as he had done in the past.

In an instant, Danica grinned and squinted her eyes. She looked up at him with memories popping into her mind.

"In the past, you liked to hold me and stroke my hair like this. I loved to lay in your arms as it was very comfortable and warm... Frederick, do you remember that during the weekends, I would make you a cup of coffee and bake cookies? When you had finished your work, we would lay on the sofa to watch TV together. You would even kiss me out of the blue and play around with me. In the end, we didn't even have the slightest idea of what was going on in the show."

Danica missed the feeling of the past very much!

"For a period of time, you were obsessed with sunflower seeds. I would remove the shell for you even when my nails were all chipped... Every time, you would hold my hand and kiss it, saying that you wouldn't let me do tough jobs in the future and you would take care of me for the rest of my life.
