How could she still be in the mood to advertise and enjoy herself? He thought about how he had treated her-he had doted on her and pampered her, just for it all to be in vain. She really didn't have a conscience, all she cared about was money!

Getting up, Frederick inexplicably felt agitated again.

She could clearly see that he was with another woman but still, she didn't give a d*mn and still had the mood to earn money? Was her brain fried? Has she given up on him, who was like a man of means, to work for that tiny bit of labor wage?

At the office, gossip all around Alicia was about Master Clements and although she tried to pretend to not notice, the good mood that she had that day came to an end.

For the rest of her day, she was in a sullen mood and the seeds of irritation started to grow quickly in her heart...

"When will days like this come to an end?"

For the first time, Alicia felt that life was long and tough. It felt like time had rewound to three years ago as if the road ahead was boundless and dark.

In the blink of an eye, it was already the weekend. Alicia didn't want to be bored at home, therefore she went to the hospital to visit her father. She should have gone to see Mrs. Clements; she had even already arranged a time for it. But at this moment, she suddenly didn't know how to face her under these circumstances.

That day, she was in a daze. She didn't even notice Marshall pass by.

Leaving the hospital, she tried calling a few friends to hang out and pass the time but she couldn't find anyone suitable after calling everyone!

Hearing that it was a company she worked with before, Alicia recalled having a good impression of Mr. Andrews. She had been worried that she would be bored, hence she immediately cheered up.

"Since you think so highly of me, I will arrange my schedule to make time even if I don't have time! Leave it to me!"

After confirming the details, Alicia drove home to get prepared.

The dinner party was set in a high-end hotel and she arrived at the agreed place in advance. Alicia also helped to receive some businessmen. The other party did bring an interpreter but unfortunately, it was a half-chop, thus Alicia's role naturally came into play.

After arranging accommodations at the hotel, the whole lot went to a private room.

She didn't head for her car as she had a few drinks and she planned to wait for herself to sober up before taking a cab home. Just as she stepped forward, a familiar voice sounded behind her.

"Miss Blanchard-"

Feeling the pain in her wrist, Alicia felt baffled. She looked up and sneered at him.

"Gosh, Jeremy Pitcher! Are you kidding me? Who the h*ll do you think you are? Who are you that I have to report to you what I do and with whom?"

Did he have a loose screw?

Jerking off his hand forcefully, Alicia felt extremely agitated and roared at him.

"Look at me! I'm Alicia Blanchard! The woman you abandoned and despised the most! I'm not Lindsay Crouch, who's carrying your child!"

In a split second, Jeremy suddenly hugged her tightly. "Ally..."

His voice was deep and he sounded like he was in pain. His eyes fell on the glimmer on her ears. Every time he looked at them, it was like a sharp knife stabbing into his heart. The past memories and Lindsay's womb were two sides of his heart, entangled and pulling at each other.

I came to you with a sincere heart, wholeheartedly learning cooking, sewing, and I even gave up on wearing my favorite mini skirts. I wanted to become the person of your desires; being a good wife! How did you repay me? You destroyed everything! You pushed me away! I am in this state of life because of you! Why come pester me again now? Are you trying to make up for what you did? Or are you trying to ruin my life again?"

Alicia felt that she was so vexed that she was about to become hysterical.
