As their eyes met, Alicia's heart still jolted in pain. She unconsciously tightened her grip on the box. Nevertheless, she did this for a mere couple of seconds before she looked away and turned around.

"Sir, here's your change and your stuff, here you go! Thanks for your support and may you good luck!"

She did not forget to give her customer a new box and still wore her smile sweetly.

Looking at her, Frederick was furious, rage vibrating through his being. She seemed to be having plenty of fun selling those goods, wasn't she? Fifty Shades of Grey? She really learned fast!

Alicia acted as though she had not seen anything and kept walking while unwrapping the box of condoms she had squeezed flat moments ago.

"Hello Sir, Euphoria Inc's Fifty Temptations, you can buy it or get it for free. Six different sensations, the passion of ice and fire; would you like to have one?"

A shadow came looming over her. She took one condom out and handed it over without looking. Then, she raised her head to a familiar face and her eyes widened.

Chet? F*ck, what luck did she have?

Chet had seen her unexpectedly. He noticed her wearing a small vest with the brand logo, then saw the box in her hands. The comer of his mouth twitched as he was speechless and bewildered. His gaze fell on the figure behind her; Frederick had such a gloomy expression that he would be one with the night sky.

What was going on? Was this some kind of prank?

Before he came to his senses, he heard an angry but soft voice, "How unlucky!"

Retracting her hand, Alicia turned around and strode away.

Chet felt his head spin as his jaw was still wide open. What was going on? He was the one who should feel unlucky!

Alicia never thought she would have ran into Frederick here. The tiny bit of good mood that she had disappeared instantly. Walking further down the street, she started promoting again but she had lost all her drive. Until the end, she spent most of the time standing in a daze.

Fortunately, her sales performance at the start was good. There were not many people working tonight, therefore she got the top seat.

For the first time, she did not feel happy or comforted as she held the money.

Although it was just for about two hours and it was only 10 pm, the work had made her feel better. She then returned to her car.

Starting the engine, she paused suddenly as she thought, "I wouldn't be able to use this car after tomorrow! Even if I could, I can't afford the maintenance!"

In the future, it would not be as convenient anymore as she had to use public transport!

Sighing faintly, she held back the sting in her eyes. "What are you sad about? He doesn't even care about you! Don't waste your tears! You can just start all over again!"

She tapped her cheeks and cheered up.

She had been thinking all the way home. She had to pack her belongings quickly and move out before she was evicted, otherwise, it would be awfully embarrassing.

On the road, she was so muddled she did not even notice a familiar black sedan trailing behind her. It stopped following and sped up only when she made the final turn into the street where their house was.

Entering the house a few minutes earlier, Frederick headed to the bar. He wanted a few drinks to suppress his emotions.

Alicia did not notice that the lights were on when she came in. She was frustrated that she had forgotten to buy a few shopping bags from the supermarket on the way home. Her luggage case could not contain all her belongings.

As she was in a bad mood, she made exaggerated movements while pouting. Holding her handbag close as if she was afraid of being robbed, she raised her leg and kicked both her shoes off.

Frederick narrowed his eyes and watched her as she walked blankly to the stairway.
