Looking at Alicia expressing her thoughts, both Frederick and Carson couldn't help but laugh.

"Dr. Vives!"

A nurse came in with a blood analysis report in her hand. Looking at Alicia, Carson let out a cough and started to comfort her with a smile on his face.

"Hmm, not necessarily! The allergy might also be caused by the chemical reaction that happened when the food you ate reacted to some drugs such as expired sleeping pills! There were still some drugs that remained in your bloodstream! Thus, be careful about your diet later on. Avoid any food that you think might cause an allergy. Our body changes from time to time. It's completely normal that you might be allergic to something that you weren't allergic to before. I remember that there was a case where someone almost died from eating a peach! The symptoms of an allergy may vary every time. It might cause rashes now but might cause you to be short of breath next time! Your body will show symptoms when you are having an allergy. Make sure to get yourself checked immediately and you'll be fine."

"Good! Finally! I can continue to earn extra -continue to work! Thank you, Dr. Vives!" Alicia thanked him.

Listening to Carson's words, Alicia grinned and felt relieved instantly as if the world had become a brighter place.

Looking at Alicia's grin, Frederick could gauge her thoughts. She probably planned to work for some extra income after she realized how wasteful it was for her to destroy those clothes! She must be regretting her actions!

After parting ways with Carson, Frederick walked out of the ward with his hand on Alicia's waist. "There. You don't have any STDs! You almost ruined my reputation!"

If Alicia was to spread the fact that she had STDs in the company, Frederick's reputation would be doomed!

She laughed awkwardly at herself. Came to think about it, she was just being overdramatic. However, this was proof of how much she loved herself.

"Hubby, you're so outstanding on everything. Meanwhile, look at me, I am nothing compared to you. If I didn't meet Chet yesterday, the security guard would have stopped me outside the entrance! Hubby, since you're an excellent man with a good temper, don't mind what I have done in the company yesterday, please? Look at me. I was sick and I got framed. I think that's already a punishment for me. I also forgave you for what happened in the office yesterday..."

Then, she pouted. "I was halted at the gate!"

Frederick shook his head while giving Alicia's chin a pinch.

"That's the rule. You can't get in without an appointment or notification! We restricted people from coming in randomly for a reason! Next time, before you come, do give me or Chet a call."

Looking at the time, Frederick noticed that it was not yet eight o'clock.

"Let's go! I'll take you to my company for a breakfast date so that the security will recognize you!"

Alicia had never expected Frederick to say those words. Suddenly, her heart was blooming. "Sure!"

Arriving at Soaver International, Frederick walked through the gate with his hand on Alicia's waist. They were so intimate that it made Alicia felt giddy; it was as if Frederick was announcing her as his wife.

Of course, Frederick wasn't reluctant to show her off as well.

To Frederick, gossip was nothing! He only cared about the person he loved.

Although it was still early and there weren't many employees in the company, everyone froze as if time had stopped for a moment whenever they saw Frederick and Alicia. The couple instantly became the center of attention.

However, both of them were only focusing on each other.

In the past, Frederick would have never cared so much about announcing his status with a woman. However, on that day, he was holding Alicia by the waist constantly and he never let go as if he was announcing his dominance over Alicia. What he did had changed his employees' impression of him.

Sometimes, Frederick would choose to eat at the cafeteria too. However, he would use special sets of silverware; he never used the public ones. Before this, all the meals were usually sent directly to his office as well. This was his first time having breakfast in the cafeteria.

Soon enough, two sets of tableware were sent over.

After the waiter left, Alicia grabbed Frederick's arm and asked, "Hubby, do I go out with you? What... should I call you? Hubby... doesn't seem appropriate..."

If she called Frederick 'Hubby', wouldn't it affect his reputation in the company if someone heard it?

After all, they had gotten married discreetly. Although they were legally wedded, for some cultures, it was not considered a marriage unless a wedding had been held.

Occasionally, Alicia felt upset about this hidden marriage but overall, she felt comfortable with how things worked out. After all, her previous marriage had traumatized her!

Alicia would rather not let anyone know that she was married if her marriage wasn't a happy one. At least, she wouldn't have to suffer too much when the marriage ended.

To Alicia, marriage only provided her with status and she didn't need others' blessings to be happy. She was the only one who truly understood her own feelings. She was once the prettiest bride in Bayton City that had organized an enormous wedding dinner which made everyone jealous. But then, it turned to be the most hurtful thing that she had experienced in her life.

She wanted her marriage to be discreet and simple.

At that moment, she feared that she was being high- profile. Upon a glimpse of the restaurant when she came in, she saw a number of kitchen staff and waiters walking around. There were quite a few of them. She could guess the number of people who were having breakfast by looking at the number of employees.

Should she just stay put? She thought that it would be a waste of a chance if she didn't get to enjoy the food.
