The expression on Jeremy's face froze and the corner of his mouth twitched. He then turned away dejectedly as if his soul had been sucked out from his body.

Lindsay looked at him in shock, then chased after him in a panic.

"Jeremy, it's not what you think! I can explain. I was angry just now. I was just talking nonsense. Please don't take it seriously-"

"Jeremy! Wait for me!"

"Don't you trust me for who I am? How could you take my words seriously when I was so mad? Jeremy-"

Lindsay ran after him all the way until they reached his car. As she reached out to pull at his clothes, he smacked her hand away.

"Scram! You disgust me!"

He had trusted her so much that he had been blinded from the truth.

Anger was building up in his chest and his expression was grim. With hatred in his eyes, a terrifying aura surrounded him.

He never would've thought that under her beautiful face, a dark and sinister heart lurked!

Lindsay staggered several steps back, feeling a striking pain in her stomach. However, she couldn't care less about it at this instant. Her makeup was already ruined from her tears.

"Jeremy, please don't be angry with me! That was because I cared too much about you! I was too angry and that was why I said all of that to make her mad. It's not the truth-"

"Jeremy, you know how I've treated you in the past years! How could you not? Ask yourself!"

On top of Lindsay's howls and wails, her obvious bump on her stomach attracted many curious and pitiful gazes from onlookers.

"Young man, don't be so mean! It's not good to do this in public!"

"Yeah! Look at her, she's crying so hard! As a man, you should be more open-minded and treat your wife better! It's not easy for women!" "Your wife is so pretty, why don't you treat her better? Aren't you afraid that she will leave you for another man?"
