"Watch out!"

In an instant, Frederick reached out and pulled Alicia back as he shielded her. Just then, Alicia accidentally stepped into the gap between the tiles and a loud crack came from her feet.

Even though both of them had reacted quickly, the hot water had still gotten onto Frederick's arms and wrists. He was burnt and his skin instantly reddened. On the other hand, even though Alicia had avoided it, some of the droplets had splashed onto her arms and it was painful. Her face paled from fright.

"What's wrong with you? Who is this? How could anyone just enter this party?"

As Frederick stood before Alicia to protect her, he was in a rage. Just then, the woman was already being held down by security guards. However, she was struggling with all her might and her face was contorted into an ugly expression with all the heavy makeup. Her eyes reddened as she glared at Alicia.

"You shameless b*itch! You sl*t! You seduce men and destroy other people's relationships.

Go to hell!" "You are so despicable and shameless! Do you think that if you dress like her and destroy others' relationships, you'd be happy? Women like you should be locked up in a pig's cage and be fried in hot oil! You f*cking b*tch!"

As soon as Frederick flared up in anger, several others immediately became frightened. Trevor walked up to him and pulled on his sleeves.

"It seems like she's the daughter of the Lopez family who got divorced. Her ex- husband cheated on her and even married the woman he was cheating on her with before moving overseas. Her life was perfect when she was still married but after the divorce, she had been suffering a lot. I think it's because she couldn't let go of her own problems and was depressed. I've heard that the Lopez family has been looking for suitable candidates for her, I'm guessing that she's here today for that as well! Maybe something triggered her."

Frederick could still feel the stinging pain from his arms. He was completely enraged and couldn't care less about things like that.

If the hot water had been splashed onto Alicia, how could her sensitive skin take it? As Frederick thought of it, he grew even more vexed.

He turned around and wrapped Alicia in his arms. He then checked her face and asked, "Were you hurt?"

Alicia shook her head then suddenly thought of something. She quickly reached for his arms and asked hurriedly, "Your hands are all red! Do they hurt?"

She instinctively blew on his hand.

Frederick pinched Alicia's face and kissed her forehead. "It's fine, good thing you didn't get hurt. I will never let anyone hurt you."

For the first time, Frederick suddenly realized that the hidden marriage had caused her to be wronged. For an instant, he thought of something but too many problems in real life made him swallow his promise back again.

Just as Alicia held marriage in high regard, it was equally important to Frederick as well. In this relationship, he actually wasn't too confident in their love. He always believed that a relationship wasn't supposed to be a quick show of fireworks but instead something that was slowly growing over the years.

At this moment, Frederick thought that their relationship was more like the former. He was afraid that he had been overly excited or that his rationality had been swallowed by his wants.
