As soon as she looked up, she noticed someone sitting by the bar, looking very mad. She wanted to act like she didn't see him but that was impossible. Moreover, he had already changed into pajamas.

Obviously, it had been a long time since he had returned home!

"Oh, no!" Alicia thought.

She could feel his evil gaze on her and she felt a chill going down her spine.

She knew that he was already mad, therefore she changed her shoes and walked over.

"Hubby, you're back so early today!"

Frederick glanced at her coldly and his gaze paused at the ugly frog doll in her hands. After swirling the glass of wine in his hands, he then took a sip.

Alicia felt slightly awkward as she had been completely ignored. She played with her fingers as she tried to think of what to say next. Just then, a cold voice rang in her ears.

"Do you know what time it is now? What were you doing earlier? Why didn't you answer the phone?"

"Huh?"

She then rummaged through her purse and checked her phone. Five missed calls! She was done for!

She looked up and poked him coquettishly as she tried to calm him down. "Hubby, don't be mad, it wasn't on purpose! I was... shopping and the music was loud, therefore I didn't hear it!"

She would never dare to tell him that she had been with Marshall! She would be finished off if that were to happen. After all, she had indeed been shopping! It was just a coincidence that she had met him.

Alicia's long lashes fluttered as she apologized. When she saw that he didn't push her away, she stepped forward bravely.

"Hubby, I was wrong. Don't be mad at me, okay? Two girls had mistaken me for Danica today and I was in a terrible mood, that was why I went shopping! I forgot the time while I was shopping, I won't do this again..."

Frederick heard the key word and clasped her waist. "You said that there were women who mistook you for Danica?"

At first glance, Alicia did look similar to Danica back then. However, the two of them were still very different, how could they have mistaken Alicia for Danica? After six years of disappearance, how could Danica have such close friends? And even two of them?

For a moment, Frederick searched so hard in his memories but couldn't think of who they were.

Were you planning not to return unless they closed? Is this all you bought? What terrible taste do you have!" It was so ugly!

He patted the frog in her hand and his eyes were filled with disgust. However, he still pinched her face lovingly.

"You are such a kid, never growing up! How could you allow something like this to affect your mood? Even if you guys look alike, she's like water and you're like fire; you guys are completely different, got it?"

"Then, Hubby, you won't... mistake fire for water, right?"
