Alicia pursed her lips and did not say anything.

If it was the old her, she would've dumped him on the spot! However, she'd learned a lot through the years. She no longer believed in the foolish fantasy that relationships and love had to be perfect.

Even if she knew that there was nothing between him and Danica, which woman would be willing to see her man always having something to do with other women?

At this moment, she quite admired the second in command of the Dragons Gang, and she wanted nothing more than to slap Danica in the face!

However, she was just fantasizing about it. She reminded herself that she would not get her hands dirty for a man regardless whether it was worth it or not!

Frederick stroked her head and gently turned her face towards himself.

"I just bumped into her and we exchanged a few words. From now on, anything that has to do with her or the Randolph family, whether good or bad, has nothing to do with me. I won't stick my nose into their business anymore!"

This time, he did not feel any sympathy for her at all! She knew that it was taboo, yet she still went ahead and did it. It wasn't like he had all the time in the world to clean up after her!

"Come on, let's go and grab some food! Let's not starve ourselves, alright?" Right now, Alicia was the most important person to him!

When Frederick saw that she was still a little moody, he gently lifted her chin and kissed her on the lips. "Honey, don't be jealous! You're the only woman that I love! Hurry up, go and change your clothes!"

When she heard how sincere he was, she knew that she could not make a scene out of such a petty matter. Since he was clear that she didn't like him getting involved with other women, Alicia decided to let this matter slide. She nodded, got up and smiled back at him.

"Alright then!"

After that, she took the clothes that he had picked out for her and headed into the bathroom.

She closed the door, unbuttoned her hospital gown, and checked out her wound through the mirror. It was a round scar and she could still see the stitches on her legs as she was particularly fair. When she turned around, her eyes unconsciously fell on her flat stomach. There were some faint bruises on it.

She unconsciously thought of her calves. She lifted the hospital gown up again and examined them. There were still some faint red marks on the cut where scabs had formed.

Her life had changed for the better this year, yet she still had minor injuries everywhere! Everything that she'd been through had left its mark on her body. Were the heavens jealous that she'd taken care of herself?

As Alicia gently stroked her stomach, the corners of her lips twitched slightly and she said to herself, "Perhaps there'll be more marks here in the future!"

No matter what she looked like in the future, she still wanted to have a baby!

Even if she did not have the perfect body, she had no regrets in life, regardless whether she had the choice or not. Gratitude was better than hatred and happiness was better than tears. She already felt very blessed. Though it was filled with both happiness and sorrow, it was still her life, and she didn't want to leave with any regrets!

After consoling herself, Alicia decided to shift her focus to the positive aspect of her body. The pros outweighed the cons. Life was still infinitely perfect thus far and she was still as beautiful!

She could not wear a bra because of the wound, but she had to wear something to cover up her chest. However, she felt a little insecure if she wore just the tube top, especially now she had to go out!

Alicia was a little worried, thankfully, she found some double sided tape. Then, she found a spot on the upper edge of the tube top and stuck the tape on it.

Frederick had been waiting outside of the bathroom for quite a while. He was a little worried when he realized that Alicia had been in there longer than he had expected. He walked into the bathroom and the first thing that he saw were the red marks all over her fair skin. His heart ached.

At this moment, Alicia had taken off her hospital gown and was currently doing everything to cover up her chest. Instinctively, her body was turned to the side, subconsciously covering herself up. She did not notice Frederick entering the bathroom.

Frederick slowly walked towards her and hugged her from the back. His heart ached at the sight of her scars. He wrapped his arms tightly around her. He could not seem to form any words when he saw the scars on her body. It gave him a lasting impression! He could remember it very clearly and knew that he would not forget this sight for the rest of his life!
