Frederick looked at Danica and said, "Is there anything else you want to say besides this?"

"What?"

Danica was shocked for a moment. She had a gut feeling that they weren't talking about the same thing.

She suddenly thought of something, and true enough, her prediction came true, "Did the issue with East Valiant Commerce have anything to do with your leave that time?"

Although it was a question, the way Frederick acted confirmed her suspicions.

"It wasn't me, but I might have been involved in it. The reason why I left had something to do with this! Frederick, it doesn't matter if you believe me or not, I just want to tell you that even if I betrayed you, I never meant it! I will never hurt you!"

Danica said without a single quaver. She wasn't exactly lying about this!

She could push all the responsibility to her father and explained that she was being lied to; been driven to a corner; even left due to embarrassment. She had a relevant, believable reason !

She thought about it and immediately got back to the topic.

"Your achievements today are proof of your work towards your ambitions. No matter whether I'm by your side or not, I'm still happy for you!"
