The date they first met? When did they first get to know each other?

Frederick tried to recall, but to no avail. In fact, he wasn't even sure if they had first met during this time period. But it was inconsequential regardless.

As soon as he sent the message, it dawned on Frederick that he would never forget the day he and Alicia first met each other.

Patting the corner of his eye, Frederick thought, "Perhaps all of these had been predestined by God!"

[I really care for you a lot. I've heard some things which I think you should know immediately. I'm afraid you'll be taken advantage of..."

[I'll wait for you at Begonia Club at 12 noon tomorrow. I have something to tell you. It's about Alicia and Jeremy! This woman has betrayed you. She's still in an on and off relationship with Jeremy. Don't be fooled by her! They have loved each other for many years. If she really did forget Jeremy so easily, why would I even be bothered by the past relationship of you and I? That's all I can say. The call is yours.]

Danica sent messages one after another, to which Frederick didn't reply at all. He suddenly realized that he had been pretty indifferent to Danica, which was also his fault. Without replying, he deleted their chat history. Suddenly, he felt as if something heavy had been placed on his chest, further affecting his good mood.

By the time Frederick came out after his shower, Alicia had already stored away the plates and cutleries. Her hands were still wet from dishwashing. She flicked the water at Frederick's face playfully.

"You didn't wash your dishes. You're supposed to wash your dishes! Punish you! Punish you!"

Waving his hands to fend off the drops of cold water sprinkled at him, Frederick retreated and said, "It's cold, honey! Stop!"

"Now you know it's cold, huh? Remember to clean your dishes next time! No more eating only and not washing. As punishment, you need to wipe my hands."

Chasing after him and stretching out her hands, Alicia scampered and hopped around, occasionally limping like a zombie. In an instant, Frederick's gloomy feeling was chased away by this playful side of hers, bringing a bright smile back to his face.

It was already hard for him to learn how to cook a simple dish, let alone wash the dishes. He really didn't know at all.

He stopped and grabbed her small hands. Frederick then rubbed his hand against her palm. After a while, her hand was almost dried, but still felt slightly cold.

"I'll help you do the washing from now on."

Frederick pulled her towards him and held her in his arms. "How could your hands and feet be so cold? How would you survive without me warming you up?"

"That is why you are my ball of sunshine! I need you for all my life! You need to warm me up for the rest of my life"

Alicia turned and snuck her hands into both his arms to feel his body warmth. She liked doing this during winter the most for moments like this would warm her up. She was not afraid of heat, but not the cold!

"Dear-"

Just as Alicia was about to talk about Western City, her phone rang again. With the interruption, she quickly realized that it was getting late. After replying to her messages, she rushed to the bathroom.

"I'm going to shower. Wait for me, honey."

When Alicia came out, Frederick was still standing in the same spot with his phone in his hand. He seemed preoccupied.

He signed the note with a fancy signature and added, "Love you!"

Alicia sat up and read it three times. It was still hard for her to believe that he would write those after his signature. Was he confessing his love for her?

Frederick was not a honey-tongued man. In fact, he was very different now as compared to before. As he was not someone who would say such things for even post- argument coaxing, seeing this coming from him right at this moment just swept Alicia off her feet.

Her eyes felt slightly teary as she kept touching the note.

After getting out of bed, she made herself a hearty breakfast, did a little house cleaning, and hand-washed his pajamas. It was Sunday in which she was alone but happy!

On the other hand, at Begonia Club, Danica had been sitting in empty space and waiting for Frederick for the whole afternoon.

As night fell and the bar lights were lit, it was again the time for people to paint the town red.

At the nightclub, Jeremy was meeting a few customers when he received Lindsay's call. Stepping out of the club, he answered Lindsay's call. He pulled on his tie and heaved a sigh of relief.

"Okay! I know. I'll ask my friends overseas to bring it for you."

After ending the call, Jeremy felt rather tipsy. The hot flushes made him uncomfortable. As he was about to head to the washroom to freshen up, he spotted a man and a woman who were laughing, hugging, and kissing as they got into the elevator. As the elevator door closed gradually, they still couldn't get their hands off each other. The woman wore a silver miniskirt. She had short hair and a pretty face. Jeremy thought he must have seen the face somewhere as he felt a sense of familiarity. However, that certainly wasn't Alicia.

Frederick? Frederick Clements?

He was with another woman? Unbelievable.
