She followed them all the way to the hospital. As she stood in front of the door of the emergency room, she fixed her eyes on the red light of the emergency room anxiously.

Soon, the doctor emerged from the emergency room. Chet spoke first, "How is he, Doctor?”

I have put them under sedation to rest and recover tonight. They should stay here for overnight observation. If nothing happens, they can be discharged tomorrow! "I see! Thank you, Doctor."

After settling everything, Chet said, "Alicia, why don't you stay back and take care of Frederick for now. There are some things that I have to deal with. I’ll switch with you later!"

"There’s no need. I’ll be fine here. You must be tired. There’s nothing much to do here anyway. You're not indestructible. You should go back and rest. Just come back tomorrow."

Chet glanced at the time. Since it was already one o' clock in the morning, he did not insist, "Okay. Call me with Frederick’s phone if you need anything. I'll get you a phone tomorrow."

Chet left the hospital after arranging for security to be posted outside the ward.

The ward suddenly quieted down. Alicia sat by the bed and watched the person on the bed. For the first time, her heart was empty and cold.

She sat by the bed until the wee hours before she laid her head down to sleep for a while.

At dawn, a nurse came in to take his vitals and gave Frederick another shot. Before the doctor left, Chet was already back at the hospital.

"How is his condition, Doctor?"

"Mr. Reynes, I can assure you that Mr. Clements is no longer in any danger. He may be over exhausted, and also his immune system has weakened. Plus, the medicine administered has a sedative effect, causing him to sleep deeper. The rest of his indicators are all normal. He will be fine when he wakes up."

"Thank you very much, Doctor!"

After sending the doctor off, Chet took a new mobile phone and handed it to Alicia.
