Was Frederick planning to abandon his child?

After work, Alicia bought some things and delivered them to Lovely Scent. She sat around for a while before estimating the time to bring the groceries back home.

As soon as Frederick entered the house, he heard a pleasant phonation coming from the kitchen.

The corners of his lips subconsciously rose a little. He took off his coat and walked in. When he saw Alicia whisking the eggs, he slowly approached her and hugged her from behind.

"Hubby, you're back already? I'm almost done with the last two dishes! We're having a healthy vegetarian meal today. There won't be any staple food, so do you want me to cook a few eggs for you?"

"I'll eat whatever you're having. What day is it? Why are you so happy?" He wondered what the occasion was for a vegetarian meal.

"I'm always happy! Come, follow my lead. You'll fry the mushrooms while I'll cook the tomato eggs."

"Huh? We don't have to do this, do we?" Needless to say, Frederick didn't know how to cook.

Frederick retreated as he spoke, but Alicia had already walked behind him.

"I've already diced the mushrooms for you, and I'll teach you how to do it. What if something happens to us one day and I'm no longer with you? Are you going to starve to death then?" she stated.

"That day will never come. At least, I'm capable of boiling the water," he thought to himself.

But before he could say anything to refuse, Alicia had already held his hand. She even flattered him, saying, "I know my husband is the best! I'm also eager to have a taste of your cooking. Mr.

Clements's cooking is hard to come by. It must be extraordinary."

Although Frederick knew that her coquetry praise was a trap, he was still flattered by it. Just as he was about to place down the spatula, her words motivated him and he tightened his grip on it. Then, under her command and guidance, he actually managed to fry a plate of mushrooms.

After that, Alicia quickly fried the tomato eggs with some green onions. Finally, they had prepared a clean and healthy dinner for themselves, and the dishes were undoubtedly appetizing.

Not long after, they had devoured all the dishes. After dinner, Alicia dragged Frederick to the sink and said enthusiastically, "Let's share the hard work and wash the dishes together."

This time, Frederick went behind her to hug her and refused to let go. "Sweetheart, we don't have to do this. I'll just call Aunt McGowan to come tomorrow."

She tried to turn around twice but failed to pull him over to help out. The two of them had circled around the kitchen for a while before Alicia rolled her eyes at him and chided, "You're slacking again!"

She then turned around and swiftly washed several bowls.

After washing them, she also wiped them dry. Meanwhile, Frederick had her wrapped up in his arms as he said, "Next time, this kind of rough work should be done by the servants."
