Jeremy picked up the landline phone beside the bed. At this moment, Lindsay switched on her mobile phone and replied to a few messages first then proceeded to dial Nerissa's number.

"Nerissa, it's me..."

She was still paying attention to the movements around her line of sight while she was on the call.

Meanwhile, in Casterwich City, Alicia was busy cleaning up together with Freya. When she returned home, she was still furious. She wasn't insistent on staying behind that day, but she had been constantly waiting for Frederick's call.

She kept on checking her phone until eleven o'clock. She scrolled through his number several times, but in the end, she chose not to press it, "Whatever! It's only a few days anyways!"

He must've been exhausted and it was probably inconvenient to call him since he was on a business trip. In addition, she wasn't in a hurry. However, before going to bed, she called Freya to ensure that she was doing fine.

That night, she tossed and turned, and she couldn't fall asleep. She was speechless, and so was Freya, who was in Lovely Scent. A thousand miles away, Frederick had returned to his room and he was in a trance the whole time. The scene at the elevator flashed across his mind. After she hung up the phone, Alicia sighed in relief.

"My friend is holding a fashion show in Lesterdam City. She started preparing for it a month ago. The accessories were processed in Casterwich City and delivered to me. I then delivered them to Lesterdam City for her! They were supposed to be used tomorrow, but she suddenly told me that I delivered the wrong ones. The boxes were filled with handicrafts.
