Frederick was constantly bothered by the thought of his previous encounter. When he ran into Jeremy, he wasn't able to maintain his calm composure.

However, he knew that he was worrying too much. Therefore, he ignored the thoughts and kept quiet.

Alicia wasn't aware of such an occurrence. Moreover, she didn't truly understand the fear that had been instilled in his heart. To her, she merely thought that Frederick was dissatisfied and unhappy at her earlier due to his misunderstandings of her being there.

This recognition was a stark contrast from how apprehensive she constantly felt towards her own capabilities. She felt slightly emotional by the thought of it.

"I'll stop disturbing you, Frederick. I'll book another room for the night!"

As she was about to move, he held her tight and softly said, "What are you talking about? I'm so happy that you're here to see me, but I really hope that you'll inform me the next time you pay a visit. Can you do that?"

If it wasn't for Frederick who opened the door that day, or if she had hastily tried to enter his room, wouldn't there have been trouble for them?

Maybe it was entirely her fault. Alicia hated the thought of it. All she wanted to do was to surprise him!

Although it did cross her mind that Frederick would be unhappy to be disturbed at work, and it was necessary to inform him in advance, she still wasn't satisfied. Her lips curled up in anger instantaneously.

He approached her with a gentler behavior. "Okay, I understand. Please don't be angry anymore. Let's forget about this. Besides, it's getting late, and we've had enough arguments for one day."

He stroked her hair and hugged her tightly. "Are you tired? I think you should go take a bath."

While he spoke, he lifted her suitcase and placed it aside, he also took her cell phone away from her, then pushed her into the bathroom.

After a long day, she was both physically and mentally tired. She wasn't looking forward to wasting anymore energy.

Once she was done with her bath, Frederick waited outside for her with a glass of milk in his hands. He also had some exquisite snacks prepared for her.

"Have some milk before you go to bed, Alicia! I also got you some night snacks. We can use the microwave in the room to warm them up."

She felt slightly better after drinking the glass of milk.

She picked up her phone and booked a train ticket at 5:50 a.m. after she estimated the appropriate time to leave. She had booked an early ticket because she didn't want her work to be delayed. She then proceeded to set an alarm on her phone.

After circling around her, Frederick paused for a moment. "Why aren't you staying here for another day?"

"Since you're already here, why are you in such a hurry to leave?"

As she turned around, she looked at him and said with her red pouting lips, "I don't want to be a nuisance to someone!"

He felt helpless as he observed her tantrum. He whimpered, "Ally..."

She coughed coldly and pushed him away. "I'm sleepy!"

She turned around and kicked off her shoes, then hopped onto the bed. Afterwards, she laid down on the bed and covered herself with the duvet.

He shook his head in despair and sighed. He neatly arranged her shoes by the bedside before he headed into the bathroom.

Frederick and Alicia were tossing and turning throughout the night, and this made them a little tired. He didn't want to force her to sleep with him. Instead, he laid beside her and placed his hands over her body, then he slowly cuddled her.

After resisting for a while, she then pulled the quilt and remained still.

Although they were dissatisfied with how things ended earlier, the both of them were no doubt exhausted. Besides that, Alicia was also drained from traveling around. Nevertheless, Frederick's warm and calming embrace gave her an endless sense of security. It wasn't long before she would fall into a deep sleep. Even though she was still resisting, she dozed off very shortly after.

Regardless of the fact that he was facing her back, his tranquil heart wasn't affected knowing he was connected to her. Not long after, he slept soundly as well.

Alicia had her eyes wide open despite her alarm not going off. There was something bothering her. She looked at the time and noticed it was five o'clock sharp; she had woken up on time. She didn't remain in bed any longer, so she got up quietly and carefully moved Frederick's hand away as she tried not to carelessly wake him up.

Unfortunately, he woke up despite her subtlest movements. Little did she know that he had already turned off her alarm. He originally wanted her to take a rest, but now, it seemed that his idea was in vain.
