After this incident, Alicia noticed that there were a lot of new daily necessities in the house. There were new clothing and shoes. The initially empty cloakroom was almost filled at once.

She was not as nonchalant as she thought, instead, she was still a little excited about it. Most of the clothes were casual outfits, including dresses and skirts.

Alicia could save a lot of expenses as she didn't need to buy new clothes anymore. Seeing that it was her size, she picked up a formal outfit and changed into it. The quality of the clothes was undeniably good as it was Frederick who bought it.

The style of the clothes was simple, but the materials were good. It was also aesthetically pleasing when put on. In terms of texture, it was obviously different from the brands she owned. It was more comfortable. The clothes were worth every penny.

She hadn't really taken good care of herself for a long time. When she changed into her new clothes, she was in a good mood. Because of this matter, she unnoticeably liked Frederick a little more.

He was a contradicting person. Sometimes, he was very thoughtful, such as at this moment; sometimes, he also made people angry, like the ravioli incident.

Thinking of this, Alicia couldn't help but feel distressed again. She touched her clothes and felt more at ease when she wore them.

For the next few days, she was full of energy while working.

One day, the hospital called. She went there to discuss with the doctor and paid some medical expenses after work. Then, she went to the ward to see her father. Looking at the reduced amount of money in her bank account, she felt stressed again.

When she got home, she didn't cook and just ate a piece of bread. Then, she turned on the computer and began to work on translating a piece of text. This was her private work on the Internet. This way, she could earn more money during her free time.

After being busy for some time, she heard some noise and came back to her senses. It was already past eleven o'clock at night. She then put away her computer. She stood up to see Frederick appearing at the door.

"Hubby, are you back?

Frederick nodded.

As soon as he raised his head, Frederick's eyes fell on the computer desk where she was working. There were still pieces of paper and empty snack bags. Seeing that his eyebrows were slightly furrowed, Alicia followed his eyes and saw her masterpiece on the desk.

As she was afraid that it would trigger the clean freak in him and that she would be criticized by him, Alicia moved her body to cover the view. She laughed dryly to ease the tension in the room.

"I was hungry... It's odorless! I'll clean it up right away! Hubby, take a shower first! Don't be angry. Once you come out, it'll be clean!" Alicia immediately said.

She was too busy and had no time to clean it up. She was not a messy person. Moreover, in her eyes, these things were absolutely not garbage. However, she did not dare to tell him.

Could she say that in her eyes, he was a freak?

There were all kinds of unspoken criticism in her heart, but Alicia showed him a smile.

Without saying anything, Frederick turned around and went to the bathroom after taking his clothes. In fact, he couldn't tolerate the mess in the room, but he was even more surprised at the fact that she was working at such a late hour.

In his memory, he had only seen women being coquettish, but he had never seen a woman so hardworking. He always felt that there seemed to be something different in her.

When Frederick came out of the shower, Alicia had already returned everything to their original position, even the garbage bag had been replaced.

Because of work, she was still wearing casual clothes. She was afraid that he would criticize her. Hence, she instantly said, "I'm going to wash up right away!"

As she said this, she took out her pajamas that she often wore and dashed into the bathroom. Then, she took another shower.

After changing into pajamas, Alicia was puzzled. "Why is it so tight?".

Seeing that her pajamas which she often put on were fitted tightly on her body, Alicia was shocked. Looking up, she was surprised to see that she seemed to have plumped up in the mirror.

What happened? She had only been busy for a few days. How did she put on so much weight?
