Pausing in his steps, Frederick's face suddenly darkened. Why is she talking in such a gentle voice? Who is she talking to?

There was a sizzling sound of fried food in the kitchen, and she giggled from time to time. Frederick clenched his fists and his heart seemed to ache.

No wonder she was acting so abnormal. She even got up early in the morning.

At this time, Alicia's urgent voice came from the kitchen again. "Hey, don't come over! It's not a great time now! Let's meet outside later, alright?"

"Okay! Don't worry! All right!" "Be good. Don't cause trouble! Be obedient, okay?" she said again.

Frederick walked into the kitchen with a sullen face. He saw that Alicia was dressed in sportswear, carrying a spatula in one hand. She had her earphones on. He didn't know who she was talking to, and she was smiling happily.

"Tell me the truth, or do you want me to check it myself? Alicia, you are really something!" Frederick roared. How dare she be a two-timer. She must have a death wish!

"Eh? What, what truth?"

It was evident that he was fuming. However, Alicia didn't understand what he meant!

"Are you still trying to cover it up?" Frederick asked.

He squinted at her, and he was shooting daggers at her. "Who is your 'boyfriend' who you are going to meet later?"

Realization dawned on her in an instant. Alicia heaved a sigh of relief. "Hubby, you are actually mad at this!"

"I was almost scared to death!" Alicia thought to herself.

Patting her chest and crouching down, Alicia carried a little grey poodle from the corner, and there was an exquisite-looking tag hanging on its neck. Alicia was still a little afraid of it, but the corners of her mouth were raised.

"Hubby, are you talking about this 'boyfriend'? I picked him up when I was jogging in the morning. Someone lost it and he followed me since then! I called the number, but no one answered. I had to come back to make breakfast. I found it so cute, thus, I brought it back first. I was afraid that it would bark and disturb your rest if I left him outside. Hence, I let him in."

She wanted to send it back before Frederick woke up, but she didn't expect that the owner would contact her so late. She couldn't be late to work. Hence, she could only meet its owner at another place later. She was afraid that Frederick would find out. Therefore, she was very nervous earlier on.

"The owner has just contacted me, and he will come to pick it up later! It won't stay for long. It's very obedient! Hubby, don't be angry. I promise to send it away soon, and I won't dirty the floor!"

Putting down the dog, Alicia patted the dog's head and hid it behind her, signaling it to not run around.

Only then did Frederick understand that she was talking to the dog moments ago. Those flirtatious words were not what he had imagined. Frederick's face suddenly fell as he took a seat.

Hethen said, 'Tm hungry!"

"Alright! Wait a minute..."

After washing her hands, Alicia served him breakfast and placed the delicious-looking dishes on the table one by one. Then, she secretly gave the dog some bread and ham at the corner.

She caressed the dog's head. "Eat it obediently. Don't make trouble and don't dirty the floor!"

Frederick peeked at her from the corner of his eye. He picked up his cup of coffee and took a sip.

Seeing that Alicia had gone to clean up the pots and pans after feeding the dog, Frederick said, "Let's eat first!"

Was she so afraid of him that she didn't want to eat with him?

"I'm not hungry. I'll just drink a glass of milk later!"
