She wasn't a tad bit interested at all!

In a huff, Victoria subconsciously squeezed the bunny's little head. Although Trevor had noticed her dissatisfied behavior, he still pulled her away forcefully.

The further they strayed from the ballroom, the quieter their surrounding became. Right then, Victoria couldn't help but frowned and gave him a sidelong glance. Where the hell was he bringing her? The person that she was supposed to meet must be very dignified for Trevor to bring her all the way out there!

The tip of her tongue was filled with various kinds of doubt. As she pondered about it, Victoria simply swallowed back her words. Frankly, she wasn't in the mood to talk to him at all!

Forget about it! It was pointless for her to ask Trevor since she would be meeting that person anyway.

Pursing her lips, a trace of nervousness arose from the bottom of Victoria's heart.

Trevor led Victoria into a room as her mind drifted away throughout the entire walk. All of a sudden, she came to her senses and found herself staring at an empty room. At that moment, she immediately asked,

"Where is your friend? Who am I supposed to meet?"

Followed by the faint sound of the door closing, Victoria was suddenly hugged by the man behind her, "I just want to talk to you!"

In the blink of an eye, Victoria's heart immediately sank. Only then did she realize that she had been deceived by him. Even though her eyes were blazing with anger, it was only a matter of seconds before it was instantly replaced by a sense of indifference.

"Well... Go ahead, I'm listening!"

What on earth did Trevor have in mind? Why did he have to bring her this far just to talk to her?

Victoria averted her eyes towards the stuffed bunny in her hands as she was entertaining herself with it. She told herself, "Hurry up and get it over with! I can endure this! I'll leave as soon as he's done speaking!"

Noticing that she wasn't paying attention at all, Trevor immediately snatched the doll from her hands and threw it away.

"What are you doing?"

A boiling fury swelled inside Victoria as she was enraged. She shoved him aside and walked forward to pick up the doll. Just as she was about to bend down, her wrist was instantly pulled back. Therefore, she had no choice but to stand back up. In that instant, Victoria's eyes were blazing with anger once again.

"What the hell are you doing? Let me go! Let me go..."

Victoria pounded Trevor continuously with her fist, yet she was still unable to escape his grasp. She subconsciously wanted to kick him, but the evening dress that she had worn was tight and it restricted her movements. Instead, she quickly grabbed the hem of the dress. However, before she could even lift it, Trevor had already hooked his arms around her waist.

"You're mad at me, aren't you?"

She was absolutely fine before the wedding ceremony. Despite that, Victoria was a completely different person at that very moment. No matter how dense he was, Trevor clearly knew the reason behind her ill-temper. He never expected Victoria to be this furious just because of a phone call!

All of a sudden, there was an obvious pause in her actions. Victoria then turned and raised her head, "I'm not mad at you. I just want to retrieve my doll, that's all!"

Trevor had once again held her back as she struggled to pick the doll up. She just couldn't seem to close the distance between the stuffed bunny and herself.

At that moment, Victoria was about to go off the deep end. She immediately stood up and stomped her feet angrily. "Are you done yet? I'm not in the mood to quarrel with you! Let go of me!"

The heavy-hearted Victoria pushed and pounded him ceaselessly. In the end, she still couldn't confront her problems. A complication like this one that arose before the wedding even ended was an indication of a disastrous marriage!

"If that's what you were trying to tell me, I get it now! If there is nothing else, then I'll be on my way!"

At that moment, her attitude remained nonchalant. Facing her reflection in the glass, Victoria ruffled her hair and adjusted the hem of her dress before she turned around and walked towards the door.

Trevor extended his hand and held her back, "Vicky..."

Trevor had never mentioned about Selena to anyone before as the both of them had a taboo relationship. Even his best friends did not know that Selena, his cousin, was actually the woman he truly loved! The incestuous relationship between them was definitely unacceptable and was destined to end before it even began. No one knew about the existence of their relationship besides his parents.

Thus, Selena was sent away by the parents when he reached the age of an adult and when he nearly succumbed to his desires. Soon after, he then met Liana who was considered to be his second choice. By then, he was well- aware that he couldn't afford to make any more mistakes and he also couldn't sacrifice the reputation of the entire Clements family simply for his own sake! Selena and him could only be cousins!

However, Trevor did not expect that Liana, who he had dedicated his life to, to betray him when they were about to get married!

His parents always favored the love between families of equal social status. Hence, Liana was rejected by them. He fought hard to defend her and even went on days without eating to only find that she had backed out! The fact that she married a divorced man who was not only several decades older than her but also had kids of his own was indeed a heavy blow to Trevor. From that day onwards, he did not believe in women anymore. He only focused on expanding his career and enjoying his life as he no longer paid any attention to any woman.

Victoria's involvement in this matter was purely an accident!

After telling her his story, Trevor felt depressed. All of a sudden, his cell phone rang again. Apparently it was another call from Selena.

Right then, he was instantly taken aback by the sight of Selena's call. Victoria leaned to one side and said, "You don't have to go out this time! I'll give you some space!"
