She raised her head and saw a face that she disliked.

"We will be engaged on the 10th of next month. Jeremy asked me to send you an invitation!" Lindsay said, smiling from ear to ear. She appeared with blushed cheeks, red lips, and a red dress.

Was this how a pregnant woman dress?

"She must have put in a lot of effort to meet me!"

Alicia took the card and replied with a chuckle, "You are making such a big deal out of this. Haven't you learned the lesson from my past?"

Three years ago, her wedding was much grander than Lindsay's! What was there to show off?

"Do you really think everyone is the same as you?" Lindsay sneered and gave her a sarcastic reply. She intentionally touched her belly.

Alicia's heart was churning, but the smile on her face remained.

She replied, "Oh, I almost forgot, he got you pregnant! Is that the reason why he wants to marry you? Then, you should be more careful! Why are you still wearing high heels? Aren't you afraid that he will change his mind at the last minute? He's someone who can miss out on his own wedding. What would he think of this engagement? Ha!"

She shook her head and revealed a smug look on her face.

Lindsay's face turned red on the spot. "Don't curse me! I am not you! Do you really think everyone has a grudge against him like you?"

Lindsay suddenly realized what she had said. She suddenly shut her mouth and bit her lower lip in annoyance.

"What... did you say?"

Alicia was shocked. She wondered, "I have a grudge against him? Did I mishear it?"

"You want to trick me into telling you? I won't! But I can tell you this, Jeremy is a good man, he has never forgotten you. He would still celebrate your birthday by eating cakes and drinking wine. On his birthday, he would drink and stay in a daze! He loves you, but what can he do about it? He won't be with you, nor would he marry you! To him, you are just an item of the past! The only thing you can do is watch the person you love hugging me. All you can do is watch the three of us become a happy family... We will have our happiness!" Linsay responded.

She then turned around and strode away proudly. Alicia did not come back to her senses even after a long time.

Apparently, there was a reason!

She had even thought that there was some misunderstanding between their two families!
