After a bout of venting, Alicia felt much better. This was the first time in three years where she did not have to keep her pain in her heart.

She was still holding the hamburger that Victoria bought for her when she got into the car. She looked at it and smiled. A friend was much more reliable than any man.

She understood the basis of Victoria's words, but she was suddenly enlightened again when Victoria ensured her. She pondered the whole way back.

Perhaps, Victoria was right. In the past three years, Alicia was so busy that she did not have time to think about her relationship every day. Life was not that bad! If she did not meet him anymore, she would be the same as she was right now! The truth would be known eventually anyway!

She should have a change of goals. But as for Frederick, she still believed that he was not her Mr. Right.

After parking the car, the first thing that Alicia did was to change Frederick's name on her cell phone from "Hubby" to "Uncle". Suddenly, she felt that this was a more appropriate title. If anyone who saw Frederick called her in the future, she did not even have to explain it to others!

When she returned to the room, she saw Frederick standing in front of the French window with a glass of red wine in his hand.

"Hubby—"Alicia ran over.

Just as she was about to reach out to hug him, she saw that he was already wearing pajamas. Alicia giggled and withdrew her hands. "You are back so early!"

She was almost going to be scolded again!

Glancing at the clock on the wall, Frederick seemed to be a little dissatisfied with her withdrawal. He snorted and said, "Where did you mess around this time?"

Alicia went to her wardrobe and took her pajamas.

"Where did I go? I was having a burger with my friend! Is there anyone more attractive than my husband that would make me stay with them? Hubby, I'll take a shower first! I can't get close to you when I'm still so dirty!"

She pouted her lips cutely and then ran into the bathroom. Only then did she feel relieved of the weight on her shoulders.

Her husband ranked first among The Four Great Masters of Casterwich City! He was not worse than Jeremy at all! Unfortunately, he had a bad temper!

After taking a shower, Alicia picked up the pajamas and realized that what she had brought in was the red nightdress she bought. The pair of butterflies on the chest of the pajamas was an eyesore.

"Why did I take this one?" she wondered. Didn't she put it aside already?

After thinking for a while, she looked at her body which was wrapped in a towel. The towel was too short, thus, Alicia ended up changing into the nightdress. She habitually placed her hair in front of her to cover the areas where she did not want to gather attention.

As soon as she got into bed, she quickly snuggled into Frederick's arms and hugged him. She did not want him to see her dressed like this.

"Hubby, I've washed. I smell good now!"

What she actually meant was that she wanted to rest, and she did not want to be pushed away!

Frederick's slender fingers went through her hair, but he said something else, "Are you inviting me?"

Huh?

Alicia raised her head, and a passionate kiss landed on her lips. "What a beauty!"

Truth be told, she was exhausted. When she wore this nightdress, she did not want to get intimate with him. However, Frederick was already in the mood before she could speak.

"Hubby?" She wondered if he would let her have a rest for a night.

Their lips were attached, and Alicia gently pushed him away. However, Frederick did not understand her thoughts. He only felt that she was extremely charming in the red nightdress. She was so beautiful that his heart was racing!

"This nightdress suits you very well!"
