If he hadn't quickly avoided it, his ribs would've been broken!

Victoria instantly turned back. "Kid, what do you think you're doing? Hurry up and go back in. Do you really want to be handicapped?"

He already wanted to break up with her! Why should she still run after him?

Who was she in his heart? Since she was nothing, why should she so shamelessly pester him?

She wasn't beautiful or obedient, and he did say he couldn't be bothered with her!

After pushing Alaric away, Victoria returned to the ward. As she did, she looked to be shrouded in a haze, her face dark and grim.

Trevor slowly made his way out of the hospital. He kicked his car a few times in a fit of anger. In his rage, he smoked a few cigarettes consecutively before finally leaving in annoyance.

Victoria still didn't go home in the next few days. Neither did Trevor call her or send her any more messages. Her mobile phone had gotten dead silent, but Victoria wasn't happy at all. In the office, she often stared blankly into space for a long time with a pencil in hand. When she came back to her senses, the paper in front of her would be full of mindless doodles.

Similarly, Trevor was angry every day. Whenever he was free, he would go through every app on his phone. He would also spend a long time looking at her profile and his album.

Ever since she had a big fight with him because of the album on his phone, the two photos on his phone had become hers. Even the password had become related to her.

After he returned from inspecting the departments, Trevor subconsciously took out his cell phone once again. He habitually looked through her profile again and eventually stopped at a picture where she was holding the rabbit ears and giggling. His hands reached out to touch her beautiful face.

It was unknown how much time had passed. When he gained his composure, he retracted his hand, feeling angry once again. With a bang, he threw his phone aside. He took a document, signed it, and had even poked two holes on the paper in his anger.

She was so heartless! Not chasing after him was fine, but why didn't she return home? She didn't call him nor send him a message either!

As he signed the document, Trevor's temple twitched even more. Was the neighbor's younger brother more important than he was? That rotten boy?

He felt incredibly wronged. Trevor's mind was filled with images of her. No matter how busy he was, Victoria was always just a thought away.

Victoria had been having a pretty bad few days as well. All she could think of were the two words -"break up"!

He didn't want her anymore!

She should be happy with this revelation, if only her heart didn't ache like this.

She also had gotten into the habit of checking through her phone while she was at the office. But every time she did, there were still no texts or calls from him. He wasn't looking for her anymore!

"Have I gone too far?" Victoria thought to herself.

She felt her eyes sting.

In the past, she would be very happy when she went traveling. But she had actually felt lonely this time round, especially when she was somewhere crowded with people. She would feel a pang of something negative in her chest whenever she saw others with their family, or worse - couples!

She had even helplessly wandered around in an unfamiliar city when she couldn't make a reservation at the hotel that she liked. She missed the feeling of having someone to rely on when she met with trouble and was scared. Even if all she had was a phone call, it would've still been a good encouragement to her and would've made her feel much better.

She was a traditional woman. After getting married, all she wanted was to live a quiet, peaceful life. Even if they started on the wrong foot, she still tried to turn the unfortunate beginning into a happy ending! She wanted to make her miserable life a little more perfect. That way, she could at least stop herself from appearing so pitiful!
