Victoria opened her eyes when she heard the flower bouquet falling on the ground. Glancing at it, she nudged him and said, "The flowers..."

Trevor held her waist and continued to kiss her passionately. He ignored her questioning tone and asked her instead, "Do you think that I've been neglecting you recently?"

He had been a little busy in the past few days, and they hadn't been enjoying some quality time together. He wondered if someone had swooped in and tried to court her during his absence.

"Oh, so you're feeling guilty now?"

Trevor's question pleased Victoria and she giggled. She flung her fair-skinned arms around his neck and stroked his hair fondly.

"There must be a reason that you bought me flowers. Are you going to stay with Elaine tonight?" Was this why he came here so that she wouldn't make a fuss about it?

Victoria didn't know whether his words were true or an excuse to be with Elaine behind her back. In fact, she did care about things that happened between Trevor and Elaine, but she had her own principles on their relationship.

A relationship without feelings wouldn't last long. She chose to believe him because she needed to develop feelings for him and also work through their marriage with him. One could be cheated for a while but not for her whole life. Victoria knew that for now, she should be reserved about her feelings towards him.

It would be best if she could make their relationship end up well. If not, she had no choice but to accept it.

Trevor somehow felt her disappointment. He pinched her face and said, "Do you really think that I'm being nice to you for a purpose?"

The moment of their first encounter suddenly appeared in his mind. That was probably the most impulsive decision he had made in his life.

With a smile on his face, Trevor kissed her forehead as he comforted her, "Vicky, you're my wife and my woman. She is nothing important!" Elaine was just a pawn in his game for making money.

"She could distract other's attention away from you. Just ignore all the rumors about me and her. It's a pure waste of time for me to deal with her."

Trevor kept holding Victoria's hands and gently pressed his lips on them.

"Vicky, don't care about others. Actually, I'm here today to ask you out for dinner. I wanted to make it a surprise..."

"But it seems that you're giving me a greater 'surprise'!" Trevor said mockingly and gave her a stern look.

He should have known that this would happen!

She poked his chest and said after a dry laugh,

"You men are all the same, still wanting an affair even when you're in a relationship. Don't be so mean to me when I want to do the same!"

Trevor wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly. His chin touched hers as he said, "You're too hard to get. Nobody dares to handle you except me. Tell me, which one of them is foolish enough to approach you?"

He would kill whoever dared to touch her!

Victoria giggled and replied, "Aren't you a little too arrogant?" At the end of the day, he only wanted to find out who was trying to court her.

She picked up the flowers and sniffed them, then exclaimed with pleasant surprise, "My favorite!" Even so, she didn't mention anything about her secret admirer.
