Chapter 6 novel Bearing His Child, Burying My Heart

Moirawasn't sure how much time had passed, but the sound of Elliott and his grandfather arguing woke her up.

Opening her eyes, she found herself in a hospital bed once again.

When Elliott saw that she was awake, he seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. He shot an unhappy glance at his grandfather.

"This is the good wife you picked for me? Not even out of the postpartum period and she's already off on dates with some young guy?" Elliott sneered.

Elliott's grandfather, trembling with anger, was about to speak when Moiracut in. "Grandpa, it's all in the past now."

Elliott's grandfather understood her meaning and fell silent, though his expression was full of disappointment as he looked at Elliott. Elliott, however, remained indifferent, shrugging.

"Now that she's awake, I'm done here. Joanna's still waiting for me. I'm leaving."

Elliott's grandfather swung his cane at him. "You bastard!"

"I don't care where you go today, but tomorrow you must bring Moirato the old house..."

Before Elliott's grandfather could finish, Elliott was already out the door.

Elliott's grandfather sighed deeply, his back even more hunched than before. He handed Moiraa divorce agreement that had already been signed.

"Daniella, failing to raise him properly is my fault."

"But that child was your flesh and blood. I hope you can send him on his final journey."

Moiralooked at the elderly man with his white hair. In the end, she couldn't bring herself to refuse.

The next morning, she dressed in black and went to the Stone family's old house.

This child was the one she had risked her life to give birth to. It was a pity that she didn't even have time to hold him for a while before she was already separated from him forever.
