Chapter 7 novel Bearing His Child, Burying My Heart

Elliott's grandfather could no longer contain the fury he had held back for so long, and it completely exploded. Pointing a trembling finger at Elliott, he roared, "That little mistress of yours hit Moirawith a car, causing her to go into premature labor. The child missed the best window for rescue and suffocated inside her!"

"Her mother, too, passed away from the shock, dying on the spot!"

"Elliott Stone, all of this—every last bit of it—is your sin!"

Elliott stood frozen in disbelief, scanning the room and sneering. He grabbed the divorce agreement and tore it to shreds.

"Grandpa, you're too old for this, stop acting with Daniella," he said dismissively.

"I don't believe she'd divorce me. How could she possibly leave the wealth and power of the Stone family?"

Elliott kicked over one of the flower wreaths.

"Why put these things in the house? Isn't it bad luck? You're just angry that I've been out and didn't come home to see the child, aren't you?"

"I'm back now. Where's the baby? Bring him over so I can see him. Has he been named yet? Does he look like me or like Daniella?"

Elliott hummed a tune, scanning the room.

But all the servants in the Stone family kept their heads down, faces heavy with sorrow. No one acknowledged his words.

Seeing this, Elliott felt a flicker of unease. He began searching around the villa. After failing to find anything, his tone became a little less certain.

"Where did you hide my child?"

"Grandpa, I know I went a little too far last time, I shouldn't have laid my hands on Daniella."

"But now the child is born. Do you really think she'd divorce me? Tell me where she is. I'll go apologize, coax her a little, and it'll all be fine."

Elliott didn't care about Daniella's anger or grievances. He knew she couldn't leave him.
