Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Becoming strangers again (Lily and Ryan). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 152. Let's read the author's Becoming strangers again (Lily and Ryan) Internet story right here.
RYAN
I am due to return to New York today, but there is something that I need to handle, something that needs to get done.
Lily offered to drive me to the airport, but I declined the offer. I gave her the excuse that she should stay back with the boys at home, so they won’t cry or have moody feelings about me leaving.
She bought my excuse and kissed me goodbye before I got into the car. A few days ago, I had some of my men look into Amell. They provided his home address for me, which is why I am headed to his house, instead of the airport, hoping to meet him at home.
Pulling over outside his gate, my driver got out of the car and rang the bell. Fe minutes later, I saw his door open, thanks to how low his fence was and the construction of his gate.
He paused at the sight of cars parked outside his gate. Rolling his wheelchair, he made his way over to the gate, pushed it open, and rolled out.
I watched him through the tinted glass as he interacted with my security who gestured towards the car. Amell frowned at something my security said and shook his head.
Jerry gave him a nod before approaching my car. I wined down the glass for him. “what’s going on?”
“He refuses to move beyond the range his camera can capture,” Jerry informed me.
I don’t have a problem with that. I am not here to fight him. Reaching for the handle, I pushed the door open and stepped out.
Amell stared at me with a deadpan expression. “For you to have known where I live, I am certain you have heard about the fact that I was involved in an accident and have been bound to a wheelchair for one week, yet you remain in your car, expecting a man with no functional legs to meet you.”
“I am not the cause of your affliction.” I deadpanned, “Don’t expect me to bend over for it.”
Shocked and dumbfounded by my response, he scoffed. “You just had to have a nasty character.” Folding his hands, he stared up at me. “So to what do I owe this visit?”
“You are going to stay away from my wife and kids,” I instructed.
The young man simply blicked indifferently before chuckling. “is that an order or a request?”
“I don’t care how you want to interpret it, but it is most definitely not a request.” Placing both hands on the side of his wheelchair, I leaned towards me. “Lily, the boys, and my mother are literally the only people I care so much about,” and definitely Angelo, “and I will not stand by and watch someone ruin that for me.”
His eyes danced around my face, trying to focus despite my closeness to his face. “You want to know what I see?”
I don’t give a fuck. Standing erect, I dipped both hands into my pocket and cocked my head, my lips tight in a line. “I don’t care what you think, but I don’t think that is going to stop you from voicing it.”
“I see an insecure man.” He drawled, trying to get on my nerves but failing. “even if you don’t trust me Williams, at least trust your wife.”
Fuck him. I trust Lily with every fiber of my being. She will never cheat on me. However, what I do not trust is her judgment when it comes to humans, and I am going to make that judgment for her. “My wife once had a male friend,” I pointed out, “do you want to know how that friendship turned out? He was a psycho, a thief who wanted her and my kids dead and I will never allow such an incident to happen again.”
