Chief Kandor couldn’t help but question Louis’s words. “Are you sure?” 

“Chief Kandor, you and I can be considered old acquaintances, so why should I hide it from you when I have a favor to ask of you?” Louis explained 

anxiously. 

Chief Kandor, who was on the other end of the line, pondered for a moment before he said, “The Shain family asked me to warn you not to do it again!” 

Not to do it again… 

After Chief Kandor hung up, Louis was puzzled. 

Back when Miss Shain got married, the Smith family had prepared a generous congratulatory gift, and even when he was thrown out in the end, he never revealed anything in front of others.

“Then please stay away from me in the future!” Rachel looked at him expressionlessly and bent down to get into the car. 

Louis did not seem to give up. Just as the car door was about to close, he reached out and stopped it. “Rachel, do you know the Shain family people?” 

Upon hearing this, Rachel looked up at him. “I’ve met them a few times.” Louis stood rooted to the ground as he watched Rachel leave. His frown deepened. 

Did she just say she had met them a few times? 

Could it be that the company was really targeted because of Rachel? 

But why had he never heard Rachel mention the Shain family before? 

He used to think he knew Rachel Grey well enough to manipulate her and make her work for him willingly. But now, he realized that his understanding of Rachel was only the tip of the iceberg.
