Regina pursed her lips and glanced at Daniel. "Things are getting tricky. Qranross is about to descend into chaos."

"That depends on how many people are coming to court their deaths," Daniel nonchalantly replied.

Regina gave him a deep look and sighed. Finally, she took out something she'd prepared in advance. "This might save your life. Immortal Assembly will help you with everything we have if you use this."

She held a golden peach resembling the Immortal Token. It seemed to have been crafted by the same artisan.

Daniel didn't refuse, but he knew that if he used it, he'd be forever tied to the Immortal Assembly. He understood Regina's goodwill though he didn't want to owe anyone favors.

"Thank you." He simply thanked her and didn't explain further. Her willingness to take a stance at this moment was rare and precious as it was.

Daniel glanced at Joshua, who was unloading the supplies, and turned his gaze away.

Once Regina had driven off, Daniel called out to Joshua as the latter silently moved the cargo. To Daniel, he was an interesting guy who rarely spoke a word.

"Things will get dangerous this time," Daniel said.

Joshua lifted his head and met his gaze. Then, he nodded. "I know."

Seeing the steadfast determination in his eyes, Daniel didn't bother dissuading him otherwise. Instead, he asked, "How's Emma doing?"

"She's good," Joshua replied. Then, he scratched his head and asked, "Anything else you need me to do?"

"Lend a hand. How much you can learn will depend on you," Daniel stated. He'd long since grown accustomed to fighting alone in the otherworld. But now that Joshua had made his choice and was determined to fight together, Daniel wouldn't stop him.

Night fell. The weather seemed to match the mood perfectly. A light drizzle veiled the entire factory to create a misty eerie atmosphere.

In the factory, Daniel wiped his hands. He'd foreseen the situation the moment he woke up, and there was nothing surprising about it.

"Omari, you couldn't hold back anymore, could you?" Daniel grinned as a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

Pained groans and muffled cries filled the night, but the other party soon took the upper hand. Joshua's strength was nothing special compared to these fighters, and Daniel would never just watch him die.

Blood seeped down Joshua's arm as his body trembled involuntarily. The pressure in the rain had far exceeded his expectations, and the figure hiding in the storm was so powerful that Joshua was no match for him.

Yet, he gritted his teeth and stood his ground. Slowly, he straightened his back and roared, "Come on!"

That was when a hand rested on his shoulder. "Don't push yourself."
