Jennifer wasn't a fool nor willing to tolerate Jacob's insults. She hung up the phone directly.

"Charlene, what exactly happened to Daniel?" she asked, staring into Charlene's eyes.

Charlene hesitated for a moment. After all, Daniel was still Jennifer's husband, no matter what.

"Jennifer, Daniel... seems to have recovered," Charlene said cautiously, then looked at Jennifer's reaction.

"Impossible!" Jennifer's eyes widened, instinctively rebuffing the statement.

She squeezed her phone and collapsed onto the couch. "This is absolutely impossible! Charlene, you're lying to me, aren't you?"

Jennifer exhaled in relief. "They say Black Wolf Syndicate is ruthless. We have to settle this matter first! Once the Black Wolf Syndicate is dealt with, I'll settle the score with Daniel!"

Charlene didn't waste any time. After notifying Scarlet to transfer the money, she immediately took Jennifer to Black Wolf Syndicate's headquarters.

"What does it matter? I want them, their money, and the problem solved!" Amarok sneered. "Let them in!"

Charlene and Jennifer soon met with Amarok.

His gaze was intensely predatory as he scanned them both.
