Broken And Pregnant novel Chapter 18

I shook my head trying to hold the bile from my stomach but I ran through the kitchen sink and let it all out. I vomited again. 

Dad followed me and grab my arms to face him. He looks stunned and confused. 

" Are you sick, Lucy?" This time his eyes were telling me not to lie again. 

I had no choice and took a deep sigh. 

"Dad, I'm not sick. I'm pregnant!" I had no other option but to confess to him. 

He looks shocked and happy at the same time. 

"Really? You finally forget about him! The guy who broke your heart!" Dad mumbled.

"And you get money from his dad too!" I responded and he just cleared his throat. 

He can't even look me in the eyes.

"It's a long time ago Lucy. Don't worry, I have a new job so I can pay back their money!" He told me like I'm gonna believe him. 

"May I know who's the guy who makes your heart beat again?" He asked me full of curiosity. 

If I tell him the truth he will curse me to death. Dad knew how I been through when Kent left. I even locked myself inside my room for one week without even eating and I slash my wrist and dad brought me to the hospital, terrified and scared to lose me. 

I don't want to think about it anymore. Maybe I'm a fool because I still love Kent and accepted his proposal. If I tell dad that he was the guy who impregnated me, he sure will be devastated. 

I simply set a half-smile to my dad. 

"Soon, you will meet him soon," I told him. 

He took the clothes I put on the table. I hope he will stay here for one night. 

"Thanks for this one. I'll get change first before I go!" I wanted to stop him but I just took a sigh. 

I don't know but I think dad is keeping secrets from me. He seems to hide something and he didn't want me to know it. 

Fifteen minutes later...

"I have to go, honey. Take care always, okay!" Dad bid goodbye to me.

"Stop, you're hurting me Kent! I can't--breath!" She's gasping for her breath. 

Kent's eyes widened and steady his grip. 

"Get your act together Eloisa or else I won't be doing this to you anymore!" He said and let go of her. 

Eloisa holds her neck. Her face looks pale and can't even stare at her husband. 

Kent left and she heard the engine of his car on track again. He's leaving again. 

Eloisa picks her phone on the lamp table. 

"Follow him! Let's finish it here!" She ordered the person on the other line. 

Hera Villa

Lucy POV

I thought I only saw this in the movie. The place was gigantic and there were four spacious rooms inside. There were pictures of me and Kent on the wall. I feel like me and he was together for real. I'm not thinking about Eloisa anymore. Even she's his wife I have defeated her because I am carrying her husband's, first baby. I won't let her take Kent away from me. I suffered so much because of them so maybe it's time for me to be happy. A grin was drawn on my face.
