"Ma'am, go to this hospital, you're father got hit by a car!" I froze for a second but when it came back to my senses, I quickly took my bag and ran to the hospital where my dad was taken. 

"Thank you, Atty. Van." Eloisa called the attorney she hired for the signing process a while ago.

I went outside the house and stayed in the garden after we got home. I hired a nanny for Austin yesterday who will take care of him. I'm afraid that Kent might hear me. 

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." He said and I feel relieved to know it. 

I looked back to check if Kent looks for me but I guess he's with Austin right now. Of course, he was his father and I am now his mother. 

"Okay, I already sent the money to your bank account. Don't ever call me again, okay?" I warned him. 

"No problem, ma'am. Bye." Atty. Can, the con I hired bid goodbye from the other line.

Eloisa check who called her earlier. When she browses her phone in the call logs, her heart almost raises in fear to see Brian's name. He's one of the thugs she hired ten years ago. She planned to kidnap Lucy and her dad. She planned to kill them so that Kent will stay with her forever. No one knows what she did for the last ten years. Maybe, she was punished for not having a baby. Karma haunted her but she doesn't believe in it. It was humans who made their destinies. 

Her hands shivered when her phone vibrated with his call. She's doubting herself whether to press or not the answer button. She's fucking sick of his call. She had to answer this and warmed him not to call her again or else she will send someone to kill them all. 

She answered it quickly to warn him but he sent her the bad news. 

"What? Are you insane or crazy? He's dead--" Eloisa stops when Brian interfere. 

He is the leader so he was affected by the sudden change in their line of job. Their life became more darker and dangerous to the politician. 

" No! That's why I've been calling you yesterday. I saw him and I did what I have to do." She can't believe that Lucy's dad is still alive. 

Eloisa tightened her grip on her phone while listening to Brian. This can't be happening. She bit her lower lip and sweats started to fall on my face. My hands twitched and I can hear the pounding of my heart through my ears.
