"I'm sorry but I have to go. If you want to stay, I can take a van from here." Lucy told him but Gale stretches his lips from ear to ear. 

"It's okay. Let's go. I want to rest too. Let's meet sometime. Do you have a number?" He asked her while they're walking down from the cement stairs of the said spot. 

Lucy wasn't expecting this. She didn't even think that Gale will develop an interest in her. She's a mother of a child who just gave birth to him recently while her man deceived her and ran away back to the states with his wife and let her signed a fake adoption contract. She's not a good catch for him if she will rate herself to be someone's friend or something. Right now, she's not ready to mingle with anyone anymore especially guys and strangers. 

She ignored him and reverse their conversation. 

"I hope to see you soon. I hope you understand too what I am trying to say." She softly told him and Gale nodded his head wearily. 

After they hop inside the car, Lucy thank him for being nice especially to her. She's a stranger with a dark past and bitter love life but a handsome guy came over like her knight and shining armor who was willing to do anything to rescue her. 

Gale looked up at the front mirror to stare at her. A half-smile was drawn to his face. 

"Well, I'm happy to know you, Lucy. Soon let's meet again!" He told her and started the car engine for driving. 

This place was calm and the cold breeze of wind touching your skin seems a heaven. She closed her eyes and imagine her life what will be like if she didn't meet Kent. Will she be like this or will she be happy with someone? 

A fake love and fake contract to get rid of her child from her. This two coincide and broke her heart in bits. She has more losses than jumping for her achievements. 

She was naive back then and assumed that Kent truly loves her. That one day her run away first love will come back to her and tell her that he wanted to get back after ten years. 

Lucy POV

He ruined everything. My virginity, my future, my trust, and my life.

"Lucy, you came." Raphael softly said. He's not yet okay after the surgery but he is now strong and ready to talk. His doctor told Lucy that he's lucky they managed to get rid of all the cancer cells on his right leg. He didn't lose it. Thanks to Eloisa and Kent's money, her father survived. 

She gently sat beside him. She holds her dad's hands. His wrinkled face and hands indicated that ten years was too long to stay young and vigorous. Back then, she was young when her father left and decided to go on his own. Thinking about how greedy his dad was from the past, she can't blame him. She nearly killed herself by cutting her wrist with a scissor so he blamed himself for not being there for her. 

A drop of tears falls on her face. 

"Dad, how are you feeling? I'm so glad you remember me!" She said and caress his messy hair.
