Gale was my first love and not Kent. But because Lucy Mason was my rival at school, I made her pitiful in front of everyone. I laughed while putting the lock back to my secret cabinet.

Kent POV

We both sat outside the school campus. It's weekends so students had no classes. I took a sigh and lit one cigarette after giving him one stick too. 

"So how are you? I never heard about you since we left." I told him as my eyes shifted towards his. 

He looks pale and trembling as I will hurt him. 

"Oh, look at me, my business is still there and so am I. I started to get busy since you left. " Gregory told me but I don't believe him. 

After we left I know Lucy and Gregory had seen each other by chance. Maybe she asks him about me. 

"Can I ask you something? Did you met with Lucy?", I simply said. 

I saw in the peripheral of my eyes that he twitch after hearing Lucy's name. 

"What? Lucy? Yes, once but I lost contact with her after she went to prison." He told me and I quickly grabs his shirt towards me. 

"How come? Tell me what did you and Eloisa did to her? Haven't you heard about her again after she got discharged this year? Tell me!", I was now in my range. 

Gregory looks surprised at what I did. He's only the one who can save her but he let her went to prison. He's my friend but he betrayed me too. He holds my hands and struggling to take them from his clothes. 

" Kent, relax. I'm just fooled by her. I'm so sorry. I don't know where is Lucy either. I saw her the first day they discharged her but she ran away from me. That's all I know!", he explained to me but I won't believe him.

I pushed him away and spit on him. 

"How dare you keep a secret from me! I'm the one who helps you and your mom! Not Eloisa!", I said and his eyes widened in shock. 

" What did you say? You are the one who put the money in my bank account?", he said and I nod my head. 

Gregory can't believe that he was been fooled by Eloisa too. 

He went to the cabin where he kept Lucy to protect her from the people who will go to hurt her. Because of Kent, she almost died. 

Lucy POV

I was having hot milk on the terrace when I saw Gale's car stop in front of the house gate. I saw him smiled while approaching me and I do the same. 

"You want milk?", I said while raising towards him my mug. 

" I'm good. I just came here to visit you and to proposed a very important deal if you accept it!", he said and shook his head for the milk I offer. 

Gale sat beside me and showed a documents inside the folder. He handed it to me and I began to check it. 

As I started reading it, it's about his marriage proposal to me. I was shocked and didn't know what to say. 

"Don't worry, it's just a fake marriage. I think it's better this way since my brother and Eloisa will come home anytime!", Gale uttered with assurance. 

I told him that I had to think about it first since this plan is very risky and I didn't want to have a connection to any guy right now. I'm afraid that I might befall into another trap again. I'm not saying that I don't trust Gale but to know that he's Kent's stepbrother, I feel a little skeptical about him.
