Chapter 244 

The moment Harvey heard the police’s words, his passport 

use the tax prostitutes and clients, he snapped. He immediately flashed 

“Look carefully—we’re Arifa nationals, from Hosgland!” 

The officer glanced at the passport, hus expression unchanged. “Even if you’re from Arifa, once you’re on Hosgland soil, you must obey our laws. In the eyes of the law, everyone is equal? 

So what if they were Arifa nationals? Did they think they could do whatever they wanted on Hosgland’s land? It was a joke. 

The officer tucked his badge away and, for the first time, his eyes fell on Melany, who was half–dressed and surrounded by a chaotic mess. His face tightened as he quickly turned away. “Melany, get dressed,” he ordered curtly. 

Melany’s body ached as though her bones had been shattered. But with the police standing there, she had no choice but to suffer the pain and pull herself together. 

To the officers, this was the prime scene for a prostitution bust–irrefutable evidence, no room for denial. 

With a serious tone, the officer said. “Come with us, Mr. Morgan. You and this lady will come with us for questioning” 

Harvey, furious, quickly stepped in to defend Melany. “Are you serious? This woman is my girlfriend. And we should be the ones calling the police. Two women illegally broke into our room and assaulted us! 

You should be protecting the safety of Arifa nationals in Hosgland. We’ve been beaten for almost an hour and a half! We need to go to the hospital immediately!” 

The officer scoffed at Harvey’s words, scanning the pair from head to toe. 

He said they’d been assaulted for an hour and a half, yet he saw no visible bruises or wounds. Were they mocking him? 

“Mr. Morgan, do you think we’re idiots?” The officer’s voice dripped with sarcasm. “You know how many similar scenes we’ve investigated, how many clients‘ and ‘workers‘ we’ve seen? How many lies we’ve heard? 

“You, a middle–aged man, probably with a wife and grown kids–how could you say this woman is your girlfriend? You really think you’re a young man dating a sweet little girl?” 

He paused, then added mockingly, “You’d be better off calling her your wife–at least that sounds believable. If you say you’re married, show me your marriage certificate, an electronic version will do 

The officer’s tone turned even sharper. “And about the assault–you said you were beaten for nearly two hours. So where are your injuries?” 

Harvey turned red with embarrassment and anger. 

But he couldn’t produce a marriage certificate. He couldn’t explain why he and Melany were just a couple and not legally 

married 

They thought they were in a true, romantic relationship, but to outsiders, they just looked like a shameful affair. 

Even though they had been attacked by two women, they had no proof. 

Harvey could only offer a vague explanation, saying, “She’s sort of like my wife, we just haven’t gotten around to the 

paperwork yet 

The officer barely spared him a glance. “Fine, come with us to the station. We’ll sort this out there.

With that, the police took them away. 

As they reached the entrance. Melany instinctively covered her face when she noticed someone filming them. She didn’t want to be caught on camera. 

At that moment, she couldn’t stop herself from crying, overwhelmed with humiliation. 

She wasn’t a prostitute, but right now, the way she was treated felt no different from one. 

It was a brutal. naked shame. 

Harvey, seeing Melany cry, hurried to comfort her, but she was too embarrassed to acknowledge him. Her refusal to even speak to him left him frustrated. It was the first time he’d felt she was being completely unreasonable. 

As Harvey and Melany were escorted out, they had no idea that Kingsley, Shirley, and Elaine were watching them from behind, silently observing their departure, 

Kingsley withdrew his gaze and turned to Shirley and Elaine. “Next time something like this happens, you need to let me know beforehand. If I hadn’t had the surveillance footage cut, you’d probably be sitting in a cell just like Harvey right now.” 

He added. “If that happens. I’ll be the one to bail you out.” 

Elaine nodded. “It’s fine, I’ve got this.” 

She had already planned to black out the surveillance footage. 

By the time Dangelo found out that his parents had been arrested in the prostitution sting, it was already the next day. The police had done their investigation and discovered that the two weren’t married–they weren’t even divorced yet. 

The officers eyes shifted once again, looking at them with a new kind of disdain. 

No longer just clients and prostitutes, now they were an adulterous man and a home–wrecker. 

In the end, it was Dangelo who had to come to the station to pick them up. 

Meanwhile, far away in Boynton, Bianca was saying her last goodbyes to Finley. 

She was about to leave with Jepson for Lento. 

Lento was the city Bianca had always dreamed of. 

While Boynton was affluent, it couldn’t compare to 

Lento, the capital of Hosgland–a symbol of everything. 

Finley held Bianca close, saying their final farewell as they prepared for the distance between them. 

“Bianca, when you return, I’ll propose to your family. You’ll be my wife, and no one can stop us from being together. 

This was the first time Finley had promised her marriage. 

Blanca’s hear soared at his words. 

All her efforts had been worth it–Finley had finally promised her the position of a wealthy young wife. 

She had waited so long for this day 

After all the setbacks, now she had her chance to rise above everyone–especially Elaine. 

Bianca hugged Finley tighter, her excitement spilling over. “Alright, Finley. When I return, I’ll marry w
