Cynthia Lynwood's face went pale for a moment.

Meanwhile, Yvonne, standing beside her, sneered, "Oh, everyone in Alderburg knows that on your wedding day, Mr. Vance left you to find Cynthia. His heart belongs to her. Whether or not they're together, as long as Cynthia is around, you'll never have Mr. Vance."

"And now that Cynthia is back, haven’t you been cast aside?"

Yvonne's words were like a dagger piercing Serena's heart.

Indeed, as long as Cynthia Lynwood existed, she would always be the one left behind.

"What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue? So you know you're just the backup," Yvonne mocked.

"Yvonne!" Samuel interjected, displeased. "When Serena and Mr. Vance dated, they were a legitimate couple. But Miss Lynwood, constantly calling Mr. Vance—how is that any different from meddling in someone else's relationship? Or should I say, she’s the real intruder!"

With that, he took Serena's hand, saying, "Come on, Serena, let's go."
