Serena took a deep breath and remarked, "Yes, it's much better than in our day."

As she spoke, her eyes drifted to the stage where Rock was standing. His confident demeanor, the way he carried himself, reminded her of Aaron from years ago.

In the audience, Cynthia Lynwood watched Rock and murmured, "Doesn't that student look familiar? Oh, wasn't he the one standing next to Serena when we got out of the car? Serena really has a knack for attracting admirers..."

Aaron glanced at Cynthia with a cold expression before turning his attention back to Rock on stage, his gaze unreadable.

After a few minutes, Rock's speech concluded. He descended from the stage and walked straight to Serena. "So, Serena, how did I do?"

He didn't care about anyone else's opinion, but Serena's mattered a great deal to him.

"You did wonderfully!" Serena replied sincerely. "Your speech was well-paced and fluid, and most importantly, your perspective was unique. It's rare to have such insight at your age."

"Thank you for the compliment, Serena." Rock smiled, showing his most genuine smile of the day.

Joy, watching from nearby, felt a pang of envy. Her eyes fell on Serena’s half-empty cup of bubble tea, and she managed to calm herself a little.

"Next, let's welcome Joy to the stage," announced the host.

Joy stood up, "It's my turn now."

"Good luck, go on up!" Samuel encouraged her.

Joy nodded and glanced at Rock, hoping for some encouragement from him. However, Rock was focused on Serena, offering no acknowledgment. Disheartened, Joy made her way to the stage.
