Suzy raised an eyebrow. “I know what I need to Whether I find out the rest depends on how willing you are to talk.” 

“Yes, yes!” The scare he’d just received nearly gave him a heart attack; right now, nothing mattered more than staying alive. 

“Oh, then go ahead.” 

“This morning, a very well–dressed woman approached me and said she needed someone to help her… with a certain job.”

Suzy took out her phone and showed him a photo of Helena. “Was it her?” 

The man squinted at the screen. “Not sure. She wore a hat and mask, but her build looked similar.” 

Suzy put away her phone and tossed him a card. “There’s one million dollars in that. You know what to do next, right?” 

The man hesitated, then cautiously asked, “An eye for an eye?” 

Suzy smirked. “Now you’re getting it. 

He grinned, eager to please. “Thank you, ma’am. Can I go and get it done now?” 

As he turned to leave, Suzy added, “And don’t forget to take photos.” 

The wind on the bridge was chilly, but as Suzy opened her phone to watch the smug expressions of that mother–daughter duo on surveillance, her eyes turned colder. “Helena and Anne, if you’re so eager for trouble, I’ll be happy to oblige.” 

In Anne’s hospital room, the two women were laughing with satisfaction. 

“Mom, I can’t believe one hundred thousand dollars was all it took to ruin Suzy!” 

The moment she got the call confirming success, Anne’s excitement almost made her pain disappear. 

Helena was equally thrilled. “By the time the news breaks tomorrow, even if Dylan doesn’t react, that cripple Claude will find her disgusting!”
