“This isn’t a threat. It’s an offer,” Anne replied quickly. “The person who set you up all those years ago, the one you’ve been searching for so long–are you really ready to let it go? 

She paused for a moment, then added, “And the person who actually saved you that night wasn’t me. Don’t you want to know who your real savior is and what kind of life they’re living now?” 

It wasn’t Anne who saved him? 

Dylan had suspected Anne might have been involved with those who betrayed him, but he’d never questioned that the woman he’d slept with that night was her.

Turning her sharp gaze on Dylan, Charlotte continued, “Dylan, you can protect Anne for now, but you can’t shield her forever. She will pay the price for everything she’s done.” 

With that, Charlotte forcibly pulled Suzy toward the door. 

Suzy, dragged along unwillingly, suddenly stopped after a few steps. 

In one swift motion, she turned and flicked the silver needle in her hand toward Anne, whot was smirking smugly in the background.
