“Impossible!” 

Suzy immediately dismissed Charlotte’s suspicion without a second thought. 

“How can you be so sure?” Charlotte’s eyes flickered darkly as she pressed further. “Don’t forget how much he hates you. In his eyes, you’re the one who destroyed his happiness with Anne. 

“Do you remember how he treated you during those three years? And especially when you were lying on the operating table, waiting for him to sign the papers to save your life- what did he do then?” 

Charlotte’s anger grew as she spoke. “After the divorce, he probably expected you to 

crumble into the pathetic figure he’d imagined. But instead, you turned out to be the Frost family’s heiress, proving you’d deceived him three years ago. That must have only fueled his hatred, leading him to team up with Anne to orchestrate that fire.” 

Her reasoning made sense. Dylan certainly had plenty of motive. But… 

Suzy studied Charlotte’s agitated expression and said calmly, “He’s not that devious.” 

Although several clues had previously pointed to Dylan, Suzy’s understanding of him told her he wouldn’t have gone that far. 

He didn’t love her, that was clear, but he wasn’t someone who would pursue her destruction at all costs. Not to mention, Grace and Diana would never forgive him if they 

found out. 

Charlotte let out a cold laugh. “Not devious? Do you think Dylan built Wright Corporation so quickly because of his supposed genius business acumen? That man straddles both legal and illegal worlds. Who knows how many lives he’s taken to get where he is?” 

Suzy could see that Charlotte held a deep grudge against Dylan. Any further defense of him would likely cause more conflict, so she chose her words carefully. “I’ll investigate it.” 

Charlotte’s frustration seemed to ease slightly. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but you should still be careful.” 

Suzy nodded obediently. “I will.” 

Charlotte rolled her eyes. “Don’t just nod and agree, only to turn around and let your feelings cloud your judgment again! Suzy, don’t forget your own words–there’s no shortage of men in this world. I absolutely will not allow you to go crawling back to him. Do you hear me?” 

Suzy couldn’t hold back her laughter. “Why settle for grass when I prefer meat? Especially a young pup with lean muscle!”

Allen didn’t want to suspect Dylan, but he couldn’t ignore the evidence. “It’s highly possible that the person backing Anne is Dylan himself.” 

Standing by the garden pond, gazing at the moon’s reflection on the water, Suzy’s expression flickered briefly. The subtle change in her eyes disappeared as quickly as it

When she turned back to Allen, her usual cool demeanor had returned. Her expression was calm but icy as she said, “It seems someone’s running out of patience.”

“Maybe nothing at all,” Suzy said with a faint, cold smile. “Some people just enjoy watching others suffer. A woman betrayed and hurt by the one she loves–well, that does paint a pretty pitiful picture, doesn’t it?”
